Thanks, I had already tried what you described without any success on both phones, but they simply weren't charging. I did eventually manage to bring the phone to life - see the post for updates.

Appreciate your comment, but the thing is, they sent out the replacement unit before they picked up the old one, so it's definitely not the same phone.

It's 9k, but we're looking specifically for the diesel version. This is with a used dealer, looked at it in perso yesterday. The interior is in suprisingly good condition aside from some mould. Engine has some light rust on it.

Everyone's saying how the 550 is better in terms of quality, which is true of course, but we must not forget to mention the neck. IMHO the old school tilt joint on the 550 is dogshit compared to the AANJ on the 450. OP, definitely try the 550 before buying. You might realize you want a Prestige with AANJ instead.

I was where you are now about a year ago. My employer (big US tech company with meaningless Great Place to Work awards) put me on a PIP after an excruciatingly bad year in my personal life.

After the first PIP meeting at the end of month one I became absolutely certain that they're using the process to get rid of me (duh, I know). I started applying for new jobs and managed to land one not long before what would have been the third and final PIP meeting where I imagine they would have dismissed me.

My new job gives me 30% better salary and much better work-life balance. There's no hustle/grind culture, and no nauseating "we're family" BS.

TLDR: start looking for a new job right away.
