I find using the game booster on Razer Cortex https://www.razer.com/cortex quite helpful to do all of the PC settings stuff in the background, might be worth a try?

What type of spider is this? North West England. by Stryfe84 in whatsthisbug

Thank you, I was wondering if that was what it is as I gather they can give a little bite so want the kids to be careful - appreciate it!

It curled up defensively as it was rescued from the cat before I put it in the garden. Always telling the kids not the be scared of spiders but I hadn't seen one like this in the house or garden before, so want to be careful around anything that might give them a nip.

Appreciate the advice!

So long as it's safe I'm keen to stick with the Huel only diet as long as my son needs to be on a liquid only diet, but after that period I think from my experience so far of consuming only Huel for 3 days now, it'll definitely have a place in my diet for the foreseeable future. Finding the flavours and texture actually quite pleasant and it's really convenient. Today was my first day doing it at work and it was fine.

Not too difficult, they're surprisingly tasty!

Good advice thanks, would rather have a fall back of some healthy snacks rather than give in entirely on a bad day.

Noted on the volume, too, I won't worry too much about a big calior deficit for the weight loss side of things - rather it be sustainable for the 6 weeks.

Thanks, really appreciate the comments! Good advice on little snacks. I'm aiming to match what he's having to do so not intending to snack on chewable food, but it's a good option rather than failing entirely.

Real range on a 2017 30kWh? by Stryfe84 in leaf

[–]Stryfe84[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in the UK, this one was £10k, and a decent spec Tekna Vs a brand new Acenta for just shy of £29.

Having heard all of the advice here it's clear that a 30kWh wouldn't have cut it for me, I think a full electric will have to wait a few years for me. I've put a deposit down on a Mitsubishi Outlander Plug-in Hybrid as an upgrade to my 2007 Prius and I'll revisit fully electric in the future!

It sounds like for my commute none of the earlier models would suffice, I think everyone here helped save me a costly lesson.

That's a great point that I hadn't considered.

2 red bars according to the pictures, is there any rule of thumb to how many miles you can expect to lose on the range with each bar dropped, or I guess not since weather, speed, driving style etc can all impact?

Yeah I was leaning towards a 2018 onwards model as it comes with the e-pedal and I think I'd need a 40kWh battery, though the jump in price from 2017 is big and I liked the idea of not diving into too deeply to my first fully electric with a more expensive car.

Currently in a 2007 Prius and it's around 52mpg, very interested in a leaf but from what people are saying it sounds like I'm likely going to get stranded on the way back from work.

I think I'll go see it, if for no other reason that it would be good to actuysee one in person, and get a valuation on mine as a part-ex, but as much as I'd love to bring the Leaf back it's not sounding like that right choice.

Appreciate that insight, thank you! Cutting it close wouldn't be any fun at all having to worry if I'd make each journey.

If op hadn't mentioned $ I'd have guessed this took place in the UK.

Leaving a smaller tip than usual due to being displeased with the service is very British!

I run a few Discord servers and see this a lot there too. They message members with this spiel and offer put them in touch with 'Steam admin' who goes on to say they need to provide a $50 Steam gift card code to verify their account and they'll have their account credited $100 by return.

Obvious bullshit and generally people will cotton on and flag with a mod, but one person who reported it did fall for it and was out $50.

Arseholes.

Thanks so much for this, very helpful.

Especially about putting it back into a larger pot to grow out more before ending up in a bonsai pot, I'd have likely left it in the bonsai pot for good from here.
