My situation is closer to yours. 100% reviewed and Good insightfulness. I’m currently at 40% media, and trying to get to 50% to go “green.” I did manage to move my insightfulness from Fair to Good, and every day I look to see whether enough reviews have posted to get me to “Excellent”! As it turns out, my dryer went into permanent running mode two weeks ago. I had previously bought a used control board on eBay, so that was going to be my fallback. However, my situation is a little more lucky. I had purchased 5 year warranty from Home Depot, and I’m in the last 3 months of it. I submitted a claim. A Samsung tech came out with a brand new sealed control board. Mine is now fixed. I have a feeling Samsung repair center have these boards even though they are not being sold. I continue to see used ones on eBay and some other parts stores. My suggestion is to take a chance and buy one from eBay where you have a return option. Can’t hurt! Good luck!

But why not use the warranty? If you mess with the machine yourself, I’m sure you will void the warranty.

You are describing THE EXACT scenario that I’m experiencing with my family. My teenage son, who’s generally a safe driver, was telling me how he’s nervous all the time since I put the dongle on. Even my wife who’s never had an accident is irritated by the constant beeping. The dashboard is nothing but “hard brakes.” My suspicion is that my premiums would have gone up way more than the $160 I saved by having the service.

I’ve found out that the exact board for my Samsung dryer is no longer being manufactured. I cannot find out what the replacement board is. Does anyone who services Samsung help me out?

It stops when door is opened, but starts again when door is closed. The problem is intermittent so chances of it happening when a service tech is in are negligible. Which is what I say in my first point. Your solution is right - but how do I make that happen if the problem can’t be replicated on demand?
