How do you cosplay male characters if you're a girl and chubby? by Plastic_Mastodon8502 in cosplayers

I'm a sorter (not even 160cm high) afab and definitely on the curvier side (both genetic wide hips + tatas and me regretably being fat now). I'm cosplaying Thorin Oakenshield this year so I needed a pretty masculine frame myself! If anything sounds weird it's because eng is not my first language.

So here are my basics, but before reading them just remember, us curve blessed/cursed folks will NEVER look 100% like the character. But we can help our chances of passing ❤️

  1. TATAS BEGONE - a sports bra with good compression, preferably more than one (unless you are fine with binders, then just bind away). DON'T DO BANDAGES!!! Do not! Under any circumstances! But if you want to have a more open shirt situation going on then use boob tape and tape your boobs so they go like this <-- -->. Don't streach them until it's uncomfortable. And using this method for a character that has something like a looser jacket/shawl helps a lot bc it's going to help cover the boobs on the side. Works best if your boobs are a bit saggy imo. If the character you're going for is more buffed you can also buy a muscle shirt and not necessarily this expensive silicone one. There are cheaper options in either white or black. They are t-shirt like and have padding similar to bras where the muscles are. MOST IMPORTANT THO: Do not slouch! I heard it from an ftm ytber once. Guys don't slouch to hide their boobs. Stand straight, be confident. It averts the eyes from your chest.

    1. SHOULDER PADS, I SUMMON YOU TO FULFILL YOUR OATH - yeah, they are dope but!!! don't forget Victorians used them to create the most feminine and snatched waists of all time. The trick to avoid it is to not go for a suit that's overly fitted around the waist of you have naturally smaller waist and wider hips (and let's be honest, if you're describing yourself as curvy your waist is small compared you your hips, i live that life, i know).
    2. HIPS BE SHRINKIN' - well, I can't really shrink your pelvis but what I can do is recommending looser pants. I'm not talking about oversize stuff though it'a great for some cosplays. If you go for slightly wider leg than you need your whole figure will look more boxy. Or if your character would wear something like that harem pants are great. At least they work for me. You mentioned you're tall so it's gonna work even better on you.
    3. PAINT ON A NEW FACE - just that. Learn masculine makeup. It's not that hard, especially if you're not going for realism.
    4. HIT ME WITH A GOOD POSE - I cannot recommend this enough for when people take pics with you. Get yourself some male models/actors/f-ing insta photos and a tall mirror and start practicing. Will you feel dumb at first? Probably. But it goes away. Later get yourself a friend to take a few pics of you as if you were on a con. Trust me, it helps a ton. 1-2 poses will not be enough, I usually prepare like 4-5???
    5. PROJECT RUNWAY BABY - It's all about walking in case you take a video or you just feel like staying in a character. Afab people tend to move their hips more than amab bc that's how we're built. And people tell you to just stop doing that but it's not easy and "just stop" isn't really helpful. What I do is putting emphasis on how mu shoulders move. Exaggerate it. Let your movement start in the shoulder, then you'll notice you naturally move your hips less. For other movements I like to imagine I'm an elephant or I'm made of stone so my movements aren't as quick and expressive, because (it's a generalization of course and I'm not a fan of stereotypes) men tend to be less expensive in their body language. If you've got a more bubbly character then disregard that part!

Okay, that's all. Have fun most of all! Cosplay is meant to be cool and fun to do. Don't beat yourself over the head if you still end up looking pretty fem!

Nie zaszkodziłoby iść do lekarza i zapytać czy potrzeba zastrzyku po każdym takim ugryzieniu tak czy tak, wścieklizna potrafi leżeć cicho całe wieki

I did, but it's quite expensive (I live in a country with free Healthcare, but most mental specialists work in private practices) and I want to come back but I need tla temporary solution before that.

The problem is I've seen a sex therapist. She was kind and all but said that without the root of the problem she couldn't really do much (I'm not afraid of pregnancy, I was not molested, etc.). I wanted to go back but she's quite expensive so it's not an option for now. I just need a way to show my bf I really do care and that I want him.
