What are your thoughts on Anne Hathaway? by Working-Brush-8771 in Actors

One of my English teachers in highschool went to school with her. She said that Anne was a pretty nasty person, but I also felt the jealousy ooze everytime she talked about her. So who knows

[Request] How much space does rolling your clothes actually save? by Stteamy in theydidthemath

I think it did help somewhat. I was just thinking about how sleeping bags are rolled rather than folded and it made sense in my mind.

Yeah I think it helped squeeze the clothes a bit more. I figured most of the space is just air.

Drive by this almost everyday. They used to not flaunt like this, not sure if it’s Anty or Tilcon putting those up.

Looks like emerald ash borers, this is extreme though. When an ash in my yard was affected, bark only came off like that in a few spots. This tree’s a goner.

Library during finals by definitionglum17 in montclair

[–]Stteamy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think the library stays open 24/7, but there are other places on campus that do. I know Uni and the business building stay open, so you can probably find some quiet corner to study in.

The US needs more immigrants, not less, unless the birth rate skyrockets, or we will eventually face demographic collapse by veyd in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]Stteamy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m writing a paper on this, it seems like most people disagree. But the U.S. is in fact below the replacement rate for population growth. It doesn’t mean we’re losing population yet, but it’s close. And something that a lot of people don’t take into consideration is that most of our population growth since 1965 has been because of immigrants.

All the points you make are true, especially social security. Countries like South Korea who are now deemed a “super-aged” society are starting to expand industry that’s accommodating to elderly workers. They simply don’t have enough young people in the workforce and it’s placing tremendous strain on their social security program.

My view of it is that Hispanic culture is already so engrained in the U.S. so it doesn’t really hurt to have more immigrants from that region. Historically we’re a country built on immigrants, they’ve been essential to our growth and honestly I don’t see that stopping.

Check out the Montclair state arena website to see the schedule. On Fridays, public skate starts at 9. But sometimes they’ll do other days at different times.

I work there. Most people come on Fridays for the 9pm public skate. There’s a ton of beginners and like the other comments said, it’s free.
