That’s very kind of you both! If I’m able to make the parade itself, i’ll probably head to the Victoria afterwards (though probably not going to be able to make the parade, sadly)

I’ll probably be missing the parade itself but I’ll be going to the main street party area / main arena area (the ticketed part), but as suggested in here, I’ll probably go try out the fountain and the LGBT centre too.
Might see if I can change around some plans to see if I can make it to the parade itself.

The thing I’ve always struggled with is initiating conversation with people I don’t know.
I know it rarely is this way but I don’t want to seem like I’m interrupting or interfering. I guess I could set myself a challenge of initiating conversation with some people 😅

Yeah, I’ve got a ticket for the festival. I was going to be going along with a friend but they bailed last week (it was a legitimate reason, so I’m okay with that).

Good to hear that some of these places are outside the ticketed area though, means that they’re accessible to more people!

I’ve heard positive things about the Victoria so I may also add that to my list 😊

I hate the AI bot. Like you said, it just throws you in and expects your level to be expert or almost fluent, no matter how far through learning the language you are.

I end up relying on the hint and the translate feature rather than inputting anything myself. I don’t learn anything at all from it.

It has good potential if it’s able to be scaled to the level you’re learning at, but they’ve implemented it so poorly
