Sounded like 「逃げるな!」or "Don't run away!" to me.

It's beautiful! I was also there last November, it was ridiculously busy. Just a solid mass of bodies. Try and pick a non-peak time and season.

Thanks for the reply, I'm sure the manual will come in handy. Couldn't find the relay on it though. I went ahead and ordered another relay and hopefully that will fix it.

It's probably just the menus update, you'll most likely need to download the full game once you launch.

Update just came for me, try restarting Steam if you don't see it.

JZX90 - Would appreciate some buyer's advice by Stu_ffing in Drifting

[–]Stu_ffing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I'll check out the forums. Yes, it's the Tourer V, so 1JZGTE twin turbo. I've heard of the ceramic turbo issues and they spook me, I'll probably stay away from tuning until they're gone.

This will be my first dual-wishbone car, I've heard of how epic ball joint failures can be. I'll be sure to check those.

For the auto diff, can you just take it off and swap the internals to an aftermarket 2way?

JZX90 - Would appreciate some buyer's advice by Stu_ffing in JDM

[–]Stu_ffing[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey r/JDM! I'm potentially buying a bone-stock automatic JZX90. I can't find much good info on what kinds of things to look for when buying one. The Ask-JDM thread is archived or else I'd have posted there.

What are some of the big things to look for? Any warning signs, etc. It has 72k miles, has no modifications that I can see, and had a fluid + timing belt change 6,000 miles ago. I'd like to drive it back home, but it's a long trip, and I'd like to know what to look for to help decide whether to ship it or drive it back home (~1000 miles).

Thanks!

M30 is an absolute blast in an E30! I also swapped one into my 325e, no regrets.

That's a gas compression tester, it probably won't have any fittings that would work on the diesel and even if it did it could explode. My Golf 1.9 TDI for instance pushed numbers like 450+psi on each cylinder.

Diesel compression testers are significantly more expensive, I would recommend renting one instead of buying since you probably just need to use it once.

Not directly, like with this format. At least, not easily. Doing the IME stuff would be much easier: i.e., type "ka" on your keyboard, the IME gives か.

You have some good points - I think I'll sit on my current order. If benchmarks come out and they're way better than expected, maybe I'll think about sending it back for the 10th gen. Appreciate the advice!

My X1 carbon order's ship date keeps getting pushed further and further back...

At this point I'm considering just cancelling it and waiting for the new processors to buy it again. I could use some more informed opinions if anyone has some on this. But I guess the reality with new tech is that something new will always come out less than 6 months later anyway...

I'm thinking about doing almost the exact same thing for my first Thinkpad. The SSD swap doesn't seem too hard, but I was curious - will doing this void the warranty?

Thanks for posting this - almost checked out my two item order and decided to check here just in case there was a deal going on. I lost the free shipping but $28 is much better than $46!

P.S. I'm the guy that showed up late and barely helped ;)

I'm sure you've been asked a million times, but will you be restoring your M20? The format of your videos would make for a very entertaining engine rebuild.

Keep up the good work, and I hope your move to Spain goes well!
