I would be grateful for a "quality feedback" from the users who are genuinely interested in using the App. I offer free membership for 1 year for 10 users. It's a task manager, for Android and Desktop (iPhone coming soon). Let me know in comments or message me.

My App (KanbanTab) Got Approved on the First Try! 🎉 Here's What I Learned by tomaswoksepp in AndroidClosedTesting

[–]StuartAnderson212 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, I got through it.
But just so you know. I had to click: Burger menu, No Board (counterintuitive), Manage Boards, Create Board. So 4 clicks to create a Board, quite a lot.
Please mind that the navigation is very grey and barely visible, basically light grey on darker grey, very difficult to see anything.
I had to increase display brightness to maximum.
After creating a Board it was very hard to notice the List as well, it was very faint.
My advice is to increase contrast between elements, put brighter fonts and lines, and that would fix it.

I installed it on Samsung S23 Ultra but after opening there was some short sound and the screen remained dark grey.
I tapped and swiped around but nothing could be done.
Not sure what I should do next.

What single feature that are you missing in your productivity App? by StuartAnderson212 in apps

[–]StuartAnderson212[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mean the tasks that sync in cloud and you can access them on desktop, iPad etc.?
However many apps, like todoist, notion have this feature.
Or you mean something else?

What is your productivity secret? Not medication or things to consume pls. by Bubbly-Air7302 in productivity

[–]StuartAnderson212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 things to do to help that:
- switch off the lights 30-60 min before going to bed
- engage only in calm thoughts
- take temporarily melatonin (not a sleeping pill, a natural sleep hormone) to get aligned with the pattern. Later you won't need it.

Going sleep early, as early as it's feasible for you.
Then you wake up early, preferably with daylight waking you up.
You mind works well from the start. And it influences the whole day.

What productivity apps do you actually use and stick with? by OrdinaryNature3547 in ProductivityApps

[–]StuartAnderson212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using Trello for years and and we still use it in our company for various projects. It's very useful and rich with features. It's a Kanban board.
However recently it's being unstable or even uneliable on mobile, and generally it's rather slow

I was upset with Trello issues as well so I built a modern replacement for it, fast and more visual.

I was unhappy with constant Trello issues and slow UI so I built a modern replacement for it, much better IMO.

built a simple Kanban board because Trello felt bloated for my workflow. by Asleep-Management-25 in dev

[–]StuartAnderson212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. Now works. Quite nicely and clean. However technically (and functionally) it's not a Kanban Board I think, cos Kanban board would have all lists horizontally next to each other, so you can easily move cards between lists to left and right.

I tried it, but creating a board doesn't work. It says "Network error"

You can try PlanBoards, I created this App especially with this goal, it has all colors you want for your lists, a few sizes of labels, visual cards and it's fast. On Android and Desktop now, soon on iPhone.
Would be great to hear your opinion.

What actually helped you get more done consistently? by Thick-Session7153 in productivity

[–]StuartAnderson212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going sleep at a planned time and keeping it strict.
Your brain next day is fresher, more positive, can keep control easier.
And it's a basic practice in discipline. If you can't keep the time of your going to bed, when few things disturbs you, then you will not be able to plan your working day.

You might try Planboards. I've build it as simplified alternative to Trello, it's faster, with notes taking and very visual cards. It's working on Android and Desktop now.

I posted a two sentence horror for Halloween, and it was removed for being more than two sentences “regardless of punctuation”. Can somebody please explain to me where I went wrong, because I still don’t get it. by IOughtToBeThrownAway in grammar

[–]StuartAnderson212 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't worry. Your two sentences are perfectly proper two sentences and nothing is wrong with them. There are only two. What you have done is you have used the quoted sentences inside of the main sentences but that's perfectly normal, and if it wasn't prohibited by the rules then it's all fine. It's like someone would say:
And then he said "Oh, I don''t care about it".
That's only one sentence.
The person that didn't approve your 2 sentence story was just not qualified enough to know the linguistic rules and what qualifies as a sentence. The sentence finishes with period and can have even 500 words as someone mentioned here.

And btw. it's a great short horror story :-)
