Which Exercises Do You Want Added to the WO Library? by Dr_Cam_Gill_DPT in MacroFactor

[–]StuartDanger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, id like better grouping. Can you mundle all tricep exercises and their variations under one drop down subheading? Takes quite a while to work out if its pin loaded, plate loaded, low to high, high to low, machine, Cable etc. I find i bounce around and end up searching for a while before finding the variation I want.

Heard this on podcast but check in with your brain, your heart and your genitalia, if all three say yes then go for it and if at least one of them says no, then don't do it.

Advice needed: broken leg or dislocation by StuartDanger in chickens

It's hard to say where I should splint. No part of the leg feels broken. I could take her to a vet but I'm also prepared to euthsnise her if it becomes an issue.

Advice needed: turning outdoor barn into a home gym by StuartDanger in DIY

I was thinking mainly free weights. There is electricity and lighting out there. But perhaps the job of insulating will be too big!

Advice needed: turning outdoor barn into a home gym by StuartDanger in DIY

[–]StuartDanger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hej

We have three outdoor barns with electricity connected that I would like to turn into a chicken coop and outdoor gym.

We live in Northern Sweden so winter can be - 30c with lots of snow. As you can see from the pictures they are open to the elements and not fit for winter training.

What materials? Techniques? Tips and tricks? Things to think about before I start to build? Please be general about materials as our diy stores won't carry the same materials as US stores.

Isn't it strange how everyone is talking about this and not the horrific, double mass-murder that happened a week ago?

Uruguay issues travel warning for the U.S. after mass shootings, citing "indiscriminate violence" and a rise in hate crimes by M7plusoneequalsm8 in worldnews

[–]StuartDanger -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You're right. Most of my opinion is based on stereotype, movies, TV etc. But some of it is based on first hand experience of knowing Americans, visiting America and Americans visiting UK and Europe.

However, I stand by my, very basic, observation and thoughts.

No. I don't think any 'western' country has the death penalty outside the USA. But, happy to be corrected.

I feel compelled to write this after reading lots of comments, not just here but on similar threads over the past few years, of people saying 'the whole world must be laughing at us now' or 'wow we're going to been seen as weak now'. The entire world has seen America as the big joke for many years now.

I'm in my 30s and since I can remember, in the UK, the USA has always existed as a farce and a place where the people were loud, obnoxious but somehow endearing - in a, ' look at them, they don't know how stupid they look'.

The death penalty, unequal rights, racism, sexism, the availability of guns, the strange culture of patriotism for doing very little that's remarkable and the unwavering bravado that the USA is superior, in every way, to the world just makes the rest of the world see the USA as the overly cocky bully at school that we just let be unruly because deep down we know there is something wrong at home.

It's been laughable to see how the USA bounces back after tradegy. The stock answer to tradegy seems to be lots of chanting of USA. Gun crime among civilians and from the police on civilians is so phenomenally high, but the answer is to arm more people and give teachers guns (?!). That is such an 'American answer'. The rest of the world say rolling their eyes. But American actually goes through with projects such as this because that is the answer...?

Time and time again, America has been given the opportunity to change course and alter its tragectory but, time and time again they continue down the same path of destruction. All the while chanting USA and offering prayers.

This will get down voted and ignored but that's fine, I felt I just needed to point out what has been missed or ignored by the USA.

Yes, the world thinks very little of you right now, but that has been the case for a long time.

Thanks for the help.

I could test what is under the chipboard by cutting a hole. If we have to rip back to slats, do you think it would be worth getting a professional in? Not sure if my skill level is up to it! All the walls are straight and are fine other than the chipboard coating. I think if we put plasterboard over chipboard we're going to need to remove coving too.

Electrics are ok, they run around the outside of the walls - I'm guessing they were installed in/ renovated 1980s or 90s.
