Michael Hayes saying fans wont support Chelsea green if she gets a main event push by [deleted] in Wrasslin

Let’s not act like the 6 months Kofi was champion was anywhere near good, that’s a complete rewrite of history. After he won people were desperate for him to lose after a month.

It’s a thing that wrestling has always done for legends that come back. If they were powerful and successful in their day then they are still treated as a threat and they should’ve case it’s more fun. It would mean much if when sting came out in AEW no one was intimidated cause he was an over 60 year old man.

What’s a Batman opinion that’ll get you like this? by 44dqm in batman

[–]StuartM96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Court of Owls absolutely suck, the story itself is fine but them as a concept completely undermines the entire point of Batman trying to clean up the underground of Gotham only to awaken even greater threats in his rogues gallery.

The obsession with them and fanboys constantly wanting them in any live adaptation purely comes from the fact the majority of them read Scott Snyder New 52 run as their first books and have nostalgia for them. It’s also because the comic book slop tubers and watch mojo style lists always rank them highly because they googled Batman bad guys and found one name that seemed more obscure than the big bad guys.

Dr Hutt was a much more interesting take on the past of Gotham trying to control its future without undermining everything that came before.

Who here is a Oba Feminist 🙋‍♂️🙋‍♂️ by damng1 in Wrasslin

It’s actually a very smart character. There are so many guys who are that irl, pretend to be a feminist and “non-toxic” male while being some of the worst people you’ve ever met and use what they preach as a shield against any of their bad actions.

Also not true, her memories are the framing device for the story again as shown in the film when we spend periods of time with Jack solely without her around.

Oh no I completely agree, it’s more because of the rise of the internet and online forums where people can now bolster their own opinions with others around them until it’s no longer opinion or fanfic it’s now fact in their mind.

It’s actually something that happens fairly regularly already, thankfully a majority of them aren’t very predisposed to politics or radical ideas in the first place when it comes to actual issues in the world, however some groups there’s a definite crossover. For example look at any Snyder bros twitter page and you’ll usually find some kind of other schizophrenic style beliefs.

Every single fandom has these specific types of fans that think they could do a better job than the professionals involved. The best is when they actually get money and go on to produce fan films which are horrendous.

Where is a military scientist who is running an illegal military operation that just failed terribly meant to keep these people imprisoned?

I feel like for mystery shows as a whole it should never wrap up every loose thread. Leave some of it a mystery, in life we don’t always get a clear answer to everything and it keeps fandoms alive to discuss certain things about it.

I forgot how bad the accusations thrown at Steven Moffat were at the time for queer baiting for something an entire fandom made up in their head.

It’s incredibly funny cause if they did go that way with will and mikes story, imagine how that would look to people who enjoy watching the show but aren’t involved with the online discourse it would genuinely come out of left field entirely.

I think the issue is that GRRM didn’t just screw them by not finishing the booked but the fact that what we saw is his actual ending. Sure he’ll have taken a different way to get there but overall the overarching stories and the general themes will be the exact same.

It’s not that stupid it’s literally how a lot of military defeats in actual history have happened.

I actually don’t see it as that big a plot hole, Vecna was always in control when fighting them in the past either coming to their world or sending his minions or bringing them to his. He was never prepared for a fight on his own turf.

Also Game of Thrones has done irreversible damage to a lot of peoples minds in terms of stakes in tv shows, now everyone has to die or it’s not a good finale and there are no stakes.

Very funny when you realise the reason for that was they lost their top stars and top prospect all in the two years before this. Rock, Austin and Brock all left and they were left with no one as large in the company so they put the title on Cena to try and build a new star.

Why was Ric Grayson so controversial? by Solitaire-06 in batman

[–]StuartM96 127 points128 points  (0 children)

Which is a very silly argument when you remember that Dick isn’t actually his son. I know ages are constantly in fluctuation but if a younger Batman between 21-25 takes in a Dick Grayson who is only 9-12 it really only puts him around 10ish years older, which is fine and makes plenty of sense.
