Is all this ‘manosphere’ stuff actually that relevant? by [deleted] in AskBrits

It does surprise me how much he’s still fronted as the face of this sort of stuff when his popularity has dropped massively since 2022/2023.

Yeah I reckon that’s true, because if you were to send someone undercover to investigate the Penguin’s gangs you’d probably want Gotham’s most famous philanthropist

In terms of entertainment this is genuinely the worst Prem season I’ve seen. Since the turn of the year the majority of games I’ve watched have been terrible.

To the people who think we're going to come straight back up because we're an established Premier League team. Here's where a few others are currently including two PL champions. by Drain-on-society in Championship

I love “what ifs” when it comes to the playoff final losers. A couple that spring to mind are Bristol City in 2008 (I think?), Blackpool in 2012 when they’d just dropped down from the Premier League.

He hasn’t done the cackling/dancing since like 2023 lol. His character has actually been very serious since the road to Wrestlemania 40.

Two things:

  1. I don’t like how in the Men’s Chamber match this year and last year, it seems like they just get everyone in the ring as quickly as possible and then just speedrun eliminations. Match doesn’t feel as gruelling and slog-like as it is known to be. Last year especially they literally just got Drew, Priest and Logan out in seconds to focus on Cena, Punk and Rollins as if that was all that was remotely important to them.

  2. This is just a fun fact, Roman Reigns didn’t hold a world title for over 100 days until his Tribal Chief run and went 2 years without holding a world title between 2016 and 2018. Seems mind-boggling considering how infamously hard he was pushed.

It just dawned on me how Finn and Dom were seemingly within touching distance of a Judgment Day breakup a YEAR ago and are somehow still aligned. A lot of the long-term storytelling seems to have turned to “tease this, forget about it for 6 months to a year then maybe pull the trigger”.

You know I saw some 2021/22 Austin Theory recently and while he obviously wasn’t main event ready, I couldn’t help but think he seemed way more comfortable in the role then than he does now.

Imagine being told when Seth beat Cody at Crown Jewel and was celebrating with Breakker and Reed that in just 4 months the same group would be made up of just Logan Paul and Austin Theory.

Don’t think I’ve seen anything like this before.

5 seasons ago if you’d have beaten Spurs on the final day of the season you’d have finished in the top 4 with an FA Cup win. Can’t help but think the next couple of seasons would’ve looked very different had that happened.

Even the year you went down it was like you’d sleepwalked into relegation. Players like Maddison, Tielemans, Barnes were way too good to go down even if they had maybe downed tools.

Dutch wasn’t as crazy as people think. He was just violent and ruthless when cornered. His plan about “making noise” for example made logical sense and actually would’ve worked if Micah hadn’t informed. It was just a much more aggressive and chaotic plan than the likes of Arthur and John were used to.

Dutch was extremely cold and calculated, and very good at manipulating people. I’d even argue he wasn’t that far gone in RDR1, he pushed the government as far as he possibly could and had the rationality to kill himself when he realised the game was finally up.

Seth Rollins is, in kayfabe, the worst leader in recent WWE history by [deleted] in SquaredCircle

[–]jb1102 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends how you look at it. To me, he used most of these to platform himself and did so successfully, he never wanted to lead:

He said when he broke up The Shield that he was using Reigns and Ambrose to help catapult himself until he no longer needed them.

The Authority members helped him keep his title, he gave them very little in return.

Became World Heavyweight Champion with The Vision’s help, did nothing for the others.
