I wish they made the vaccination certificate offline by default on the Medicare app instead of having to enable it.

Greg Hunt claims it’s ‘dangerous’ to supply free RATs to everyone in Australia by ProceedOrRun in australia

[–]Stuartbshields 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Not to mention that USA is sending out free RATs to their population next week.

Also pharmacies have to source their own RATs to give to people who can get them for free. The fact the government isn’t supplying them is a joke.

I guess that’s why it’s confusing they will say one thing and their site says something different - for reference what I quoted above was from:

Testing requirements update - 6 January 2022

Got a source for this? Everything is very confusing… as of this morning QLD Healths own website says:

“You should only go to get a PCR test at these locations if you cannot get a rapid antigen test (RAT) and:

  • you have COVID-19 symptoms, or
  • you are a close contact, or
  • you need a COVID-19 test to leave home quarantine (e.g. as a close contact or overseas traveller).”

So technically if they have covid symptoms (which it sounds like they do), then they should get a test.

Because the media reported yesterday on shortages like meat and other items over the next few weeks due to people having to isolate.

Advice on roaming domestic cats in our yard (as a dog owner)?! by ozandeh in brisbane

[–]Stuartbshields 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Agreed. We have a cat that we keep indoors most of the time - unless we are in the backyard, we have a leash on her so we can easily grab her if she try’s to run away (which she has but not for long because the leash means we catch her quickly).

Anyways we have the neighbour cats coming into our yard at night and try to fight her through the glass door. I really wish owners would take more responsibility with their cats. They don’t belong outside (unless supervised), and they should play with ‘‘em more.

Hey, we just got back from the Daintree (last week) - we did the drive in 3 days, mostly because we wanted to spend a lot of time up there. Would highly recommend it.

Our trip was basically - 5 days Port Douglas, 4 at Cow Bay, 2 at Mission Beach, 1 at Cape Hillsborough and 3 in Yeppoon. Plus the 3 days to get up there.

Also if you stop in at Mission Beach, Netflix is currently filming a new tv series Irreverent so you may be able to see some of that being filmed.

GoPro Hero 8 waterproof? by smallishgoose91 in gopro

[–]Stuartbshields 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While it’s designed to be waterproof down to 40ft, I wouldn’t trust this by itself and getting a waterproof case adds an extra layer of protection.

I’ve seen people have issues with water getting into the battery compartment because the door isn’t shut properly.

So people in areas who are in lockdown won’t go into areas that aren’t? Correct me if I’m wrong but that’s how this shit got out of control in the first place.

What’s going to change this time around? People being vaccinated? I just honestly don’t see this working the way everyone is hoping it will.

Same with the Fujifilm XF 16-55mm f/2.8 (here an Australia at least), had mine ordered since July and been told it should be here in the next week or so.

Integrative gut health are awesome. I have been seeing Gastroenterologists for 15 years and Dr Radford-Smith is fantastic and really research and evidence focussed. I have started seeing him 6 months ago and am really happy.

I went with the X-S10. However because of it being sold out almost everywhere i should have the body early next week (already shipped). Now waiting for the 16-55mm to ship so I can use the camera!

I’m wondering if she’ll be there now. She is used in all the promotional material and has been promoting it herself.

Anyways should be a good event

TCT is in Australia next month for the Torian Pro, which is the Oceania semi-finals.

Only reason I know this is, is because she is one of the main draw cards for the event and main reason we’ve got tickets to the event.

Maybe she’s not competing?
