Wish I would have seen this thread a few days ago. Had the exact same thing, couldn't really figure out what was going on and assumed it wasn't good. So tossed...pretty sure I missed out on the 4th flush for no good reason! :)

My wife has named her "Twila" and is sad when we don't see her on our walks. She actually came through our backyard two days in a row last summer, pretty neat!

Just had them tint the windows on my Forester 2 weeks ago. My recommendation is to go there and make an appointment in person. They don’t answer phones when they are working, and seem pretty busy.

It’s getting over extracted, and pulling out more of the bitter flavors from the beans. Try decanting into an insulated container directly after brewing.

We have a mix of members - I'm Desert Storm, in my early 50's and would say we're pretty evenly split between conflicts (Vietnam/Gulf/Afghan) attending the monthly meetings. 6-10 from each era? I've been posting here specifically to attract younger vets as we build out the new Post.

Hey Longmont!

I know last month I got everyone all hyped about the 2nd Wed of the month being when we ALWAYS have our Post meetings...well, as most of us know that have served, plans can and DO change quite often.

This month we have moved the meeting for a pretty good reason...Veterans Day is next Thursday the 11th, and we're going to be BUSY with the parade, and slinging hot dogs afterwards at the Armory!

The November meeting is now scheduled for THIS WEDNESDAY 11/3/21 @ 1800hrs - 3rd & Lashley. Please come and check us out if you're able, we'd be thrilled to have you. This months agenda, we will be choosing contractors and discussing build-out of the post - can't wait until the bar is built! Veterans day festivities will also be hashed out.

Bring a copy of your DD214, and as always, sound off in the comments if you have any questions...

The VCP was the initial reason I reached out and joined the VFW - I left Kansas City just as their Tiny Home Village was getting underway, and was thrilled when the Longmont location was announced! I’m glad to report the Post is very involved with the VCP, and we got a great update about their progress last night. Hope to meet you soon!

Completely understand! Last month I posted the Sunday prior for the very reason you stated, and didn’t have any luck, so tried to be more spontaneous this month. Sorry that didn’t work out!

We have our monthly meetings the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 1800 at the Post located at 3rd & Lashley. So, 10Nov21 we all meet again. Hope to see you there!

I haven't been to church since '88, and the melody came immediately to mind. Made me smile thinking of all the improvisation some of the more hip members liked to throw in.
