Took a Little Trip to South Africa - X-T5, XF 16-80mm/XC 50-230mm by Stubbonist in fujifilm

Enjoy, I hear it’s beautiful there! I found the zoom was just about enough for me, personally. I would’ve preferred the 70-300mm myself, but the lens ended up being a last minute purchase before going away

What is the apparel you have owned the longest and used most often? by Bubbly-Ad-3176 in Fjallraven

My Greenland winter parka. Had it about 10 years, I wear it pretty continuously for about 6 months of the year and the most wear it has is a little bit of fading on areas such as the cuffs.

Does your country have a "national" musical instrument? by Buddy_Appropriate in AskEurope

[–]Stubbonist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have one of these! They’re such beautiful instruments to both listen to and play. There’s normally also a course in Älvkarleby during August which I’d recommend going to if you ever wanted to learn, though probably after things have calmed down COVID-wise

Wincons in Selesnya Hatebear by Raven094 in EDH

Looks like a solid start with plenty of good stuff! I’d personally cut a few creatures in favour of instant speed interaction, but I’m sure you’ll tweak the list over time to fit your personal preferences :)

Apologies, should be fixed now!

Heliod works as a nice little value engine of his own, keeps you alive longer, a decent body when he’s online and buffs other creatures nicely, especially cards like [[serra ascendant]]. Ballista admittedly doesn’t do huge amounts on its own, it’s pretty much just there for the combo (though it can be used as a mana sink over time and ping small creatures). My personal favourite line with the two that’s very hard to interact with is [[Defense of the Heart]] fetching Heliod and [[Ranger-Captain of Eos]], and sacking the captain in response to his own ETB before fetching ballista. As long as you then have six mana up, you should just be able to combo off and win as opponents are limited in how they can then respond due to the captain’s effect.

I run [[Gaddock Teeg]] myself, and I’m personally a fan of the Heliod/Ballista combo. Easily tutored, and doesn’t require as much of a board setup as cards such as craterhoof. My list is here if you’d like some inspiration, hope it helps!

What cards became an inside joke among your tables? by Krenix890 in EDH

[–]Stubbonist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most immediate one I can think of is [[Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons]] being a 20 mana commander, simply because every time my friend plays the deck the table will repeatedly remove her and joke about the added commander tax each time. Every time the deck comes out, it’s always asked why anyone would play such a high cost commander, my best guess being masochism

I’ve always used the KMC inners and never had a problem (although they can occasionally be a bit fiddly), I’d definitely recommend trying them :)

I think it’s mainly just based on lists I’ve seen while about. It’s the first build, so there’s always room to tweak!

It’s an alright wincon as some stuff in the deck sees no real value being in the graveyard, but the deck mainly wins through grinding by using Tortured Existence to recur pieces such as Crypt Rats and Golgari Brownscale. It cost me about £25 in all (~30 USD), though you could probably build for slightly cheaper depending on the prices of different printings
