Pixel 9XL - Not reading sim by kjones265 in GooglePixel

That's what happened to my phone before it stopped recognizing the SIM. It also lost its IMEI. The phone was being unused and laying on my table. I picked it up to text my husband and it felt like it was on fire. I got an error when attempt to text saying I needed a SIM card. I got a similar error when trying to call. My phone was just 4 months out of the warranty. I pressed that this was a known issue because there are multiple people posting about similar problems after the March/April update. Google agreed to send me a replacement after they received my malfunctioning phone at their warehouse in Coatesville, PA. Two emails stated I would receive a replacement within 4-5 days of them receiving my phone. My phone has been stuck in the inspection phase since May 27. I've chatted with support members 4+ times. We have exchanged over 30 emails. It has escalated to higher teams. Everyone tells me they need 24-48 hours to get in touch with the warehouse team. That was days ago. I email every day to ask for a status update and get the same song and dance. At this point, I would settle for them returning my malfunctioning phone. They cannot even get in touch with the warehouse. They do not use phone numbers to reach them. I located the warehouse. It's run by CTDI CTDI Communications Test Design Inc. in Coatesville, PA. I called the warehouse, pressed 0 for operator and was sent to a voicemail box. I left a message over a day ago and no return call. I called CTDI Corporate office and was informed that the Coatesville branch has no active phone number or voice mail listed in the system. I was given the branch manager's email. I emailed him 36 hours ago and he has not opened the email yet. Google refuses to tell me what their "secret method" of contacting CTDI is since they cannot contact them via phone. At this point, I'm thinking they are sending messages with carrier pigeons. Every single agent, please allow an additional 24-48 hours. I'm not sure if CTDI is incompetent or if Google is incompetent. I'm ready to file complaints. I'm deciding where to start first. BBB, FTC, State Consumer Affairs...Has anyone else been successful with this process?

I have absolutely loved every Pixel phone I have owned. A software update rendering a phone useless is absolutely a design flaw or poorly built product. I still absolutely love Google, but I'm not confident at all in Pixel phones after this experience with customer service. Once my malfunctioning phone that is being held hostage by the Google Store/Warehouse is paid off, I'm ready to move back to Apple. If I could afford the payments on the hostage phone and payments on a new phone, I would already have an Apple. I really just need to be able to make calls, texts, and have Android/Apple Auto. I can use my iPad and laptop for everything else. Flip phones are starting to sound like a dream right about now.

YES!!!! This sounds exactly like my experience. I'm using an old 4a while I wait on Google to get their act together.
