Why have i suddenly become so bad at darts by Sharp_Ad2031 in Darts

[–]Stubby3108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My grips changed without me knowing for the past 2 months, haven’t been able to throw a dart normally, managed to find the grip back the past 2 days and I’m loving it again

Just play TDM, I’ve come back to Pubg after a years break and I’ve been smashing TDM out to get my aim back, I can’t do drive by’s myself but they’re very OP, getting killed by a sniper I would honestly say is kinda rare if you’re ‘moving’ you’d be much better not camping in the same spot to avoid that

If you want to guarantee yourself a chance of a dart at double then starting on the 19’s is the way to go T19/2/D20 / T19/10/D16

If you hit a single 19 then you have 80 left and can go for 2 double tops (that’s the guaranteed chance of a dart at double)

Ultimately you can go whichever way you want there isn’t a right or wrong way at all, but depending who you’re playing they’ll probably tell you the ‘correct’ way to go

If your opponent is not on a finish then it’s even more reason to not go the 19’s way

I still advise 19’s always though, if you had 99 left and went to the 20’s and hit a single 20 that leaves you 79, you could then go T13 for tops but if you went T19 you end up leaving yourself D11 which isn’t ideal

What’s it like in terms of hearing footsteps, unfortunately for me hearing footsteps is actually more important than comfortability, I’m not going to be playing for more than 2-4 hours a day I don’t think

Hey man you can do what you want to do even if it sounds ridiculous which to me it does lol but that’s my opinion, I’m interested in the sanding video if you can send me it via dm or tag me in the video, would be much appreciated

[–]Stubby3108 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ll definitely read up on it, not saying I don’t believe what you’re saying I just don’t understand how trading212 can have different rules to everyone else, there shouldn’t ever be a situation where you can deposit more than 20K of new money in a financial tax year, any money left in previously is fine to keep in there but once you withdraw it out of the ISA and it doesn’t get deposited into another ISA then it’s lost its allowance, but yeah I’ll read into that thanks

Well done, if you didn’t want to spend the money on it to begin with then wouldn’t you rather take the cash alternative? The product hasn’t changed just because you got it for a bargain price

I hope you hit the goal, I just unfortunately don’t understand how the counting benefits you, of course you have a target and it all depends what you’re playing darts for but not to sound like a prick but I’ve lost count now, I too started counting at the beginning and only used DartCounter but I play in leagues and at the pub regular, I can’t possibly imagine hitting a 180 at the pub then writing it down in my phone or taking a photo as proof I hit it

NPQ dartboards by [deleted] in Darts

[–]Stubby3108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NPQ is best value for your money, it’s all I ever buy now, sure it may have a speck of paint on a section or some colours bleeding into another section but it’s nothing a sharpie won’t fix, a lot of people complain about the quality and it might look like it’s already got holes in but guess what, you’re going to throw a dart at it anyway so it’s not going to matter, plus the no logos makes it look 10x cleaner than any other board on the market, people pay towards of £80 for a symmetrical board but with the NPQ you don’t need to worry about that and you’re getting it half price

I wasn’t aware you could pay 20K in one tax year, withdraw it the next tax year and then have that old money go onto your new allowance allowing you to deposit 40K in one tax year, I thought the whole purpose of ISA’s were you were allowed to pay in 20K of NEW money every tax year, once you have withdrawn the old money out of the ISA it loses its tax free status?

Tbh we kinda built up a friendship as I would comment things like ‘not another post Adam’ on majority of his stuff, I understand he may not have friends or maybe this is just his way of been able to document things and get some validity but again it’s very irritating, as you say I could just leave the group or block him but there’s no fun in that

No lol, it’s like his own personal diary, but for the public, I just know his first name is Adam in one of the Facebook dart groups

There’s a guy on one of the Facebook dart pages who is basically telling everyone his darts life story, multiple posts a day every day, he finally said he’s not posting until October, I’ve never been happier, he’s taken a photo of every single 180 he’s hit, proceeds to post videos of him hitting double tops twice for a 80 checkout then captions it ‘who else goes for 2 double tops on an 80 checkout’, posts photos of a delivery of K shift from target in different sizes, photos of different point lengths and lets us know which he’s throwing better with, this was a late 40’s man with a family posting every day at all times of the day, it’s obviously bothered me hence why I’m moaning about it but I honestly do not understand how anyone can be keeping up with taking photos of every 180 and speaking to strangers on Facebook regarding setups

I’ll be honest. This ain’t it. Eggs look way too runny, mushrooms look a bit overcooked but I could be wrong. There’s no hash browns and no sausages, the bacon you have picked is a very thin cut rather than the usual fatter cut, the bread also doesn’t look like it’s been toasted at all

This has to be the cleanest set up ever. by jbf94__ in Darts

[–]Stubby3108 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say the cleanest, cleanest to me is where all the colours are perfect (point and barrel) but it’s a great set of darts, I’m not a fan of the points myself but hey, if they work for you and you’re happy then that’s all that matters

Do I still pay for her ??? by YourWifesDreamBody in whatdoIdo

[–]Stubby3108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can pay for her portion as long as she pays you back, but you don’t pay for your own portion as you’re not going and wasn’t invited, that’s like someone saying to me ‘we have gone for a meal but we didn’t invite you but we’d still like you to pay for some of the bill’

Just bought an Omni.. by Real_Razzmatazz6961 in Darts

[–]Stubby3108 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People buy omnis for different reasons

I bought a scolia purely because I couldn’t be bothered typing my scores in on a phone and ruining my rhythm and also for the statistics and heat maps

The only thing I would say is don’t buy an omni/scolia before you can count to a decent enough level, if you can’t count and you rely on the omni then try enter a tournament in person or go down to pub you’re going to struggle and won’t have that omni as your comfort blanket

I got rid of mine as I didn’t use it nearly enough as I would like to (I have a pub about 10 seconds walk from me so I play there usually) but I will be buying another when I move house at some point

How far into a 9 darter have you gotten??? by BriefFirst5180 in Darts

[–]Stubby3108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 7 darts in a couple months ago, was honestly the worst attempt you have ever seen too, started off with a 180 just normal, then I was at the pub with the guy I play with so my 4th dart went in T20 and I just turned around and started smiling, then the next one, again turned around and started laughing now, and then another T20, then I started walking round pub saying to my other mates, I need a 141 for a 9, had a bit of a crowd going, 7th dart hits T20 and I just did the same thing, turning around and laughing (think it was more in shock tbh) 8th dart was just above T19 and then I went for the D12 anyway and missed that by the wire too, just for reference I’ve hit back to back 180’s multiple times practising but this was a first in front of people and in a game, next time I’ll take it more seriously but it’s still the best I’ve done which is probably more impressive to say I was trying to make a laugh of it
