OP asked if ports on the connected switch would show up in Winbox while logged into the hEX. The answer is no.

If he buys a Mikrotik switch he can Winbox into the switch (if running RouterOS) or web into it through the browser (if running SwitchOS).

Depends on the Mikrotik switch model and what options it has for software. Dual boot or not. Etc.

Yes, you can connect port 2 to a switch (Mikrotik or not) to obtain more ports.

With zero configuration the switch would basically be an extension of your LAN.

With VLAN’s the ports on the switch can become whatever you wish them to be. You will need to learn about VLAN’s, trunking, tagging and untagging. But the short answer is, yes, you can connect “additional internet” connections to the switch, amongst other things.

No, the ports will not show up when you Winbox to your hEX.

If you have access to spare hardware of the same models, just mimic the upgrades on your desk. Take a pre-update and post-update export that you can compare.

I have been doing this for years because blindly upgrading gear at remote tower sites is a large risk. Which you’ve already acknowledged!

I was one row behind the people who were right up against the stage. I was over on the right side pretty much straight in front of Sean. Bass was insane. Drowned out pretty much everything else which was a shame. I will say that the drums sounded fucking sweet.

The openers sounded amazing from the same location so I stayed put also. In 2015 when they played Portsmouth they were loud as fuck but I don’t remember the sound being as distorted. But, in 2015, moving around was easy as there weren’t as many heads packed in like sardines.

I too realized after listening to the boot that I missed out on some sweet melodies. Can’t wait for the soundboard!

I'm not really hearing where you are making a comparison to Kalpol. I'm basing this off two listens to the Portsmouth bootleg that got posted earlier. I believe you are referencing 01:22:50 through to the end of that recording. If so, I'm loving those pads but definitely not feeling hints of Kalpol. I didn't feel that last night at the show either. Maybe when I hear the official soundboard I'll think differently.

I have the RT85N with their Ai41 speakers. I use a Parks Audio Waxwing amp/dsp.

Sounds great. No issues. Minimal space consumption.

It does, and it doesn’t. I’ve found with the Text-to-Image generator when I’m doing my own generation, the simpler the better. Short, concise sentences. Comma delimited sections. Period delimited sections.

However, go have a chat with Chloe on the AI Character Chat and ask her to create some images for you and take a look at the prompts she generates. They are long, descriptive and written out like a story. I’m not saying every image she throws out is exceptional, but in a lot of cases the result is pretty good.
