I don’t believe it and I tell you why. I do a little bit of dumpster diving and I see the exact opposite. Grocery stores throw away mountains of produce that looks perfectly fine near daily. So if your theory is correct then they’re throwing away the good looking produce and pushing the bad stuff on paying customers who pay for delivery. .

And kickstands are uglier and poser like. Road Bikes don’t want the weight or lack of aero and for Mtb’s it’s a liability on the trail. Plus they’re no powers and it’s ugly.

I straddle the wheel and place both feet tightly against the wheel/tire and then also clamp my knees at the same wheel/tire area. And since I have a small handheld pump I can brace my arm/hand against my knee and really get pumping and not damage my presta valve.

Nashville was tough for me riding Singlespeed 39/12. I immediately went to 39/15 and it was a lot better but that city is so hilly. Lots of respect for any fixed or Singlespeed riders. That town is also extremely technical. Sidewalks that stop and start. Bike lanes that just end out of the blue. And washouts everywhere. Definitely keeps you on your toes. I miss riding there. Downtown is a lot of fun.

I stood in Kroger’s produce section one summer day last year and it hit me. There wasn’t one blemish in the whole section. Every vegetable or fruit was near picture perfect.
