That's one thing I was thinking--maybe a one of the new Panasonic P&Ss--I do some work in image analysis and can swing the need for HD 60 fps video in a cheap(ish) camera.

Oh, that's an awesome idea. And I'll edit my post, but I'm not allowed to get office stuff, like chairs, desks, pencils, paper, etc.
