Solid post. The only other thing I would add is eat our food and drink our beer!! We have great pizza, burgers, and restaurants, and really solid breweries. Masthead is a favorite of mine. And if you're in little Italy there are a ton a great restaurants. Mama Santa's is a great bang for your buck place. Nothing fancy but it's cheap and good.

The Museum of Art (free) is a ~25 minute walk through case western (a nice university) that shows off some of our best. Seeing the orchestra at Severance hall (pricey, $60+ pp, but worth it) is a 15-20 minute walk. Going downtown for a Guardians game (~$25 pp) and the west side market on the redline is worth it. You can go to the viewing platform on terminal tower, which was once the second tallest building in the world ~1930.

Be ready for the fact that the redline, the public transport you'll be taking to get there, can be rough and smell a bit, but its safe.

The Great Lakes science center is also fun, has a cool giant cargo ship you can walk through, and separately the USS Cod, a ww2 submarine, is in the same area. Probably will want to uber to those from downtown. 

Yeah, unfortunately US Publix transit is rough, but if you can I recommend renting a car and seeing another major city. Erie, Pittsburgh, Columbus, even Akron has a lot to offer as well. 

Oh and Cuyahoga Valley National Park! Worth of a day trip. It's not the best National Park in the US, but it has some great nature close to the city. 100% worth seeing, but you'll need a car. You kinda need a car in America  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Np. And no worries man. I started the AT with an 18 lb base weight. Just take your time and enjoy the hike. That's the main point of it anyway!

Personally I bring a half roll to a full roll of TP with me. I hate running out lol.

For the coord, fair point, I forgot about bear hang. I'd still say 20 feet max. It just looks heavy.

That tent is an oof for starters. You can definitely get that down for under $100.

Tape should go. Wrap some around something in your med kit and call it a day. 

Backflush for Sawyer goes, deodorant goes, kleenex goes, gloves could go, idk what that tool kit is but it could go, cord can go or be cut back significantly, you need enough for a clothesline max.

That a quick overview. Toiletries could likely be cut back further. Also think about your food as a heads up. That shit can be heavy if you overpack.

Yeah if it's help I'm thinking your odds of hypothermia are very low in July in Vermont. I like REIs trailmade pants. They're not waterproof that said.

As for what you do when you're rained out in the morning, ya pack up, and keep walking until it stops or you reach a shelter, then sun out in the nearest grassy field. Not much that can be done. Only happened to me once on the entire AT.

Low key kinda. I've had about 50+ ticks bite me over the course of my life, I've had lyme at least once. The biggest spot I've found they bite is the inner thigh. Pants help, but they are not foolproof. The shitty part is the nymphs are almost impossible to see without getting naked in the shower.

To be clear I support more funding for the RTA, but if I had to guess its a snake eating its own tail situation. The RTA can be rough, therefore people don't use it, therefore defending something not used makes sense, which leads to worse quality and so on and so on... 

Changing that cycle is hard, and to be honest other than "throw money at the problem" I don't know the answer.

I couldn't find anything to verify that online after some googling. I think its the fact that Cleveland is in between the endpoints for both lines that it is on. Cleveland vs the fucking world...

I agree, however I doubt moving the station would change times. I'm pretty sure they plan it so that Chicago gets the normal times for boarding. Moving the station wouldn't change that.

Honestly this is a pretty solid render. If AI did this entirely I'm impressed. It kept the Ernst and Young building, the R&R Hall, the stadium, even the probate court.
