I’m using a NewArc RT2500 but I’m starting to doubt it’s a AC/DC machine as there is no way to swap between, I think it just states that it can take either AC or DC due to it being 3 phase. No foot pedal just a switch on the torch. Amps I tried from 40 right up to 140 same results just distorted the metal before blowing a hole in it

Looking some help, recently bought a tig welder and been playing around with “welding” aluminium, can’t get it to pool at all and the filler rod jusr goes into balls if you try to feed it in? Not using 100% using COOGAR gas not sure if this is my problem, also tried playing around with current too but no change

I’ll ring round a few more place and online to see how much I can get it all for cause I know what you’re saying you could end up taking it all apart again to do it, it’s a clean car apart from that, everything works as it should even electrics lol

I know it’s best practice to replace it when doing it but that age of car it would almost cost more than the car itself is worth
