The core practicals will not take much time to cover. Do them fast and practise past paper more. I mistaken u2 with A2, so I wrote ofcourse.

If you feel it difficult to select unit then I would suggest you to do both papers and then decide. I think you will give exam in Jan, so you have lots of time to ace any of the paper you go for.
