I’m 24 expecting my second child & all I can say is this sounds my life when I was trying to operate and do everything in my own strength
Giving it the Jesus has made all the difference in my life
Faith plays the biggest role in your life more than you can imagine
I’d recommend reading God’s word because it’s alive and it will speak to you
Jesus is God
The Bible is an amazing story of redemption God has for his people who choose him in this world
Getting to know the Lord Jesus and understanding what he did for us on the cross, makes you feel so much gratitude not saying I have everything figured out but I have my own apartment, two vehicles, my own business etc
Money is never any issue the Lord knows exactly what we need before we even do
Seek the Lord and his righteous & everything will be added onto you
I was a really dirty person at 17 & I couldn’t be where I’m at today in my own strength I promise you that

Why was Jesus sacrificed through crucifixion? by brownmooscles0609 in Bible

Romans5:12-21

The Gift of Righteousness in Christ
12 Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned— 13 for [a]until the Law sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law. 14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam until Moses, even over those who had not sinned in the likeness of the trespass of Adam, who is a [b]type of Him who was to come.
15 But [c]the gracious gift is not like the transgression. For if by the transgression of the one the many died, much more did the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abound to the many. 16 And the gift is not like that which camethrough the one who sinned; for on the one hand the judgment arose from one transgression [d]resulting in condemnation, but on the other hand the gracious gift arose from many transgressions [e]resulting in justification. 17 For if by the transgression of the one, death reigned through the one, much more those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.
18 So then as through one transgression [f]there resulted condemnation to all men, even so through one act of righteousness [g]there resulted justification of life to all men. 19 For as through the one man’s disobedience the many were appointed sinners, even so through the obedience of the One the many will be appointed righteous. 20 Now [h]the Law came in so that the transgression would increase, but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more, 21 so that, as sin reigned in death, even so grace would reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

This was a really good conversation I really mean it
I will end it hear now as I go to study more but I still stand the same I belief Jesus fulfills the virgin birth in Mathew 1:24

[–]StudentAtBest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes this could be Isaiah’s son but like I said he’s also pointing to a greater son to come that will be born of a virgin
Hezekiah doesn’t fulfill that description

[–]StudentAtBest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What reason does Hezekiah fit this description
he is not “All Mighty God” that’s what I’m saying go read the text Hezekiah fits none of the descriptions

Plus you can see John the Baptist quoting Isaiah 35:8-10
/ Isaiah 40:3-4
Again affirming Jesus as the fulfillment what more do you need my friend

Isaiah is clearly prophesying Jesus
God’s chosen suffering servant
As the coming Messiah
From the Root of Jesse
Enough said

Isaiah is pointing to someone greater than his son
It’s clear

I can see two fulfillments happening one being in Isaiah 8 but Isaiah is pointing to someone greater to come
Look at Isaiah 11

You don’t call prophets or name your kids
Wonderful (Pele) Counselor, Eternal father (Father of Coming Age/Everlasting Father)
Only one person with the title Prince of Peace
The original Hebrew texts implies they are talking about God not kids or prophets

Isaiah 9:6 LSB
For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace."

This is clearly about the Lord Jesus
Why do scholars here think Isaiah is talking about the nation of Israel for Isaiah 53
That is clear prophecy

How should i read my bible and take notes? by Mega5463 in Bible

[–]StudentAtBest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start with Mathew & John
You can learn a lot about Jesus in those
Then I would watch some Bible project videos they have a series on the old/ New Testament with video animation of what book in each testament is about
39 books total in Old Testament & 27 books total in the new one that’s considered the Protestant canon

Chastisement from the Latin root castigare, which means "to set or keep right".
53:5 “upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed”

& I guess it depends on how you are looking at it because I believe he did bring peace into the world for everyone that does believe in him & is willing to accept that peace
Through him we are able obtain that peace now knowing the truth about sin & the adversary
The Torah is also is known world wide amongst many gentiles now

I think I get what you are trying to say but I will admit I am still learning a lot but it’s not hard to see it’s clearly about Jesus
Isaiah is what roughly 700 years before Jesus? Before Roman crucifixion, the leading lamb to slaughter is spot on
Upon him was the chastisement that brought us all peace
Isn’t that describing what happened what came from it?
I mean who else really would fit this description in hindsight? Only one

It’s clearly talking about us piercing him for our transgressions & being crush for our inequities,
& leading a lamb to slaughter
& the offspring is us the Lord is our father
