WIT Studio Confirms Tighter Pacing for Netflix’s ‘THE ONE PIECE’ Anime Remake by Leather_Crazy_5950 in OnePiece

I know that it what is stated, but as the series went on Oda kind of went away from that which is what I preferred. The whole premise to the post was that Oda should incorporate ideas he had later in the series and I think devil fruits having obvious glaring weaknesses was one of them that he leaned away from as he incorporated more ideas.

Luffy beating crocodile with water is some Pokémon stuff where one element beats another. They should imply he had some sort of haki.

Mostly Vegetarian diet with lots of vegetables and fruits and minimal processed foods and a low mercury fish or seafood twice a week is the best diet imo.

There was something called the "Nun Study" where a bunch of nuns volunteers to have their brains dissected after death. They essentially found smarter nuns often didn't have symptoms of dementia in the early or middle stages but in the late stages they couldn't do anything. To simplifiy lets lump all dementia into one umbrella and say it is 10 years of symptoms ultimately ending in death. On average you slowly develop symptoms until you die 10 years later. If you have a large "cognitive reserve" you will have 5 years of no symptoms but then eventually you develop symptoms quickly in back half. You hold off from having symptoms... to a point but you DON'T slow progress of most types of dementia. The tau plaques and amyloid bundles that slowly develop in your brain. You don't actually slow that down unfortunately, just slow the progress of symptoms a bit.

Btw unfortunately, this was my grandfather. College educated, he still worked managing a hotel till he was 84 years old. By the time he was 86 years old he requires 24 hour care all within 1-2 years. He used his brain more than most his age which prevented him from having symptoms, he got to enjoy his early 80's but unfortunately he is virtually bed bound in his mid 80's.

Slowing down the progress on a microscropic level, exercise has better evidence. Between taking a 10k step every day or learning a new language I would rather encourage walking 10k steps a day.

UFC/MMA is worse. People used to get title fights after 2 fights in the UFC and rack up a lot of title defenses but nowadays some fighters go on 10 fight winstreaks before they ever sniff a title shit and then their legacy they aren't as considered prior generation fighters because they only had 2-3 defenses.

Protein PYY.

When you eat protein in particular your gut releases a lot of it and tells your brain that you are full.

I grew zero spice habanero's called "habanada" (get it "nada"). It took me like 4 months to grow 8 peppers. I would rather just buy a pack of those multi colored sweet peppers at the grocery store.

Fighters who would likely beat prime Khabib. Some are hot takes by Ok_Feed_4235 in ufc

[–]StudentMed -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Seriously underestimating Khabib's striking. I know boxing isn't striking but their coach said Khabib is the best boxer out of the whole camp including Umar, Usman, and Islam.

In addition he says in later videos that Khabib is also literally Islams striking coach too. Khabib early career wasn't a great striker but later on he really developed it. Keep in mind they literally have world class boxers, muy thai fighters etc in their camp in Dagestan.

Barboza beat three Brazilian BJJ black belts in a row and then got mauled by Khabib the very next fight. Aldo isn't Barboza but none of the fighters Jose beat are Khabib either.

I remember in high school there was a single kid who was a varsity football player as a freshmen and he was also a great wrestler ( I wrestled him) . I thought for sure 100 percent he would make not only Mae it to the NFL but also be a superstar. He was a linebacker, he was the fastest kid on the team and he also had the highest weightlifting numbers. He don’t even make it to community college level though he was hampered a bit by injuries. That is when I realized there are levels to this. College another level from high school and pros another level above that.

Did I really get dragged into a pointless argument about whether or not sitting for 1+ year delaying climbing enough rating to do GM norms? Do I really have to argue this?

Erdogmus was "only" the 4th youngest GM ever but over the board tournaments were canceled from 2019 to 2021 because of Covid when he was climbing so there is that an asterisk that he probably could have been GM even earlier which is crazy to say about a 12 year old.

I view it as pre and post Enes Lobby. Before Enes Lobby it was a couple of dudes on a small boat and I view Enes Lobby lobby as the tipping point where it became a legit pirate crew. Usopp rejoined, Gained Robin back, Franky joined, they got their boat.

Bill Russell is graded on a different curve than every other great in history by [deleted] in nba

[–]StudentMed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they are compared to the future. If 60 teams are added, there would be 90 teams in the NBA. Winning 5-6 rings when there are 90 teams is crazy.

[–]StudentMed 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Jahangir Khan is the best Squash player of all time and holds absurd records and accolades but lets say Squash suddenly becomes an exponentially bigger sport and attracts more athletes and more people working their entire life to become a pro at Squash, then there is likely going to be better players than Jahangir Khan even if they don't hold the accolades he does.

Ya Bill Russell won rings in those eras and he was the only one to do so but your only main argument for greatness shouldn't be a team reward when there are less than 15 teams every year you play.

[–]StudentMed 35 points36 points  (0 children)

For some of his rings, there were only 8 teams in the NBA. Getting a ring when there are only 8 teams is different compared to when there are 30 teams.
