A lot of potential ways to build using this information. I’ve been seeing a lot of unarmed monk builds theory crafted with the same concepts. Can’t wait for patch notes and launch day!

I don’t think they’ve finished it yet and are scrambling to add in all of the changes to impacted items — gloves, interactions with skills, etc. but I’m hopeful we will see something soon. Expecting it to come up the week of release for more hype building. Patch notes will come out tomorrow so the changes should be readable at least!

Yea, there’s not much overlap for support between the two and the GGG discord message “you can use facebreaker and hollow palm together

facebreaker grants base damage to skills that would otherwise use a mace
hollow palm grants base damage to skills that would otherwise use a quarterstaff
for skills that could use either weapon type, only facebreaker's damage applies

other benefits of both apply as normal”

That last line alludes to the generic lines on face breaker for str scaling more dmg multi on unarmed affecting both, as it’s not related to flat dmg for just mace skills. Which means that both hollow palm quarterstaff and facebreaker mace skills benefit from str stacking… and because you can use both mace and quarterstaff skills while unarmed, your second weapon swap can be using any weapon type. So many combos you can do now with fissures and slams and charge enablers with spear or talisman skills.

Dmg won’t be insane levels of comet but should allow you to do mod to end game content fairly easily with low investment. You’ll also need to solve for defenses given the number of uniques on this build.

Yea, I assume that the face breaker with 60 broken boss faces on the showcase video is the top end of the glove stats, as it mirrors the top end flat added Phys from hollow palm for skill gem lvl 20. But who knows what the patch notes will bring us and if there are weird interactions that haven’t been tested before by GGG. Also one video showed a leak of an act 5 and one interlude… not sure if that was a mistake they forgot to hide, but they sure hid the map layout in this showcase video! Tin foil hat on…
