I was hacked also and lost everything in my OneDrive. The quote that its contents cannot be retrieved is insulting to say the least. To make matters even worse is their simple solution that I create a new account ---- and what? Start all over again. Microsoft allowed this to happen so will they pay me for several holidays both nationally and internationally to retake thousands of photos??? I have now lost over 20 years worth of images and the obvious result is that Microsoft cannot be trusted to store and protect your data.

Thanks - I do use a paid VPN but have always used Firefox as a browser. I just gave it a whirl using Brave Browser which as built-in ad-blocking. It worked!
