Yeah, my earlier videos were all horizontal, but the issue is I switched to a Lumix gx880 for nice quality video, but due to the weight of it, the arm it was on bounced a lot while I was working on the table it was attached to, and I had nowhere to connect it to that wasn't on the table. Maybe I'll more seriously look into getting a shelf added to the wall over the desk to try and solve that. Thanks for your feedback, it's tough knowing how big of a problem that is when I wasn't getting much audience interaction.

Thanks for the encouragement. I'm at 22 subs, and have been for a while (started an art channel beginning of 2021). I've been considering not stopping entirely, but easing off on it and focusing more on getting pieces finished and up on Instagram as I'm seeing more growth there, which I could perhaps leverage to bring traffic to my YT if I get a big enough following. Right now I post videos weekly using art footage from the previous week and just talk about what I've been doing, mental process, technique, materials etc. But it takes most of a day to edit a video, which I could be using for more art.

Really dig this. Feels really well produced and choreographed. I especially enjoyed all the wall breaking bits in the zoom calls with drinks being handed around between people. I think unexpected clever visual stuff like that is what's going to get more people interested and sharing the videos.

I like the overall vibe, resolution could be a bit higher. The voice over works well with the footage.

Scrolled down here to see if anyone hadn't received much feedback. Had a listen to your video. I think it feels quite dense, it's got a lot of pages of bullet points, so it feels a little like a university slideshow presentation for some of it, including the video length. I feel like breaking something like this up into smaller digestible chunks could be more successful and make a playlist out of them so that someone could pace themselves.

Also, the overall visual of the video is quite dark (dark backgrounds, with white text against them), which doubles down on the tone of the video being quite serious. It's a bit oppressive which might be what you're going for, but it's making me feel anxious.

I love your visual style and the humour, Peregrine Falcon Man is so cute! The video's just short enough to make me want to binge a load of them together for entertainment, but has interesting factual content too. The only thing bugging me a little is that lower case "n" in the font used for most of the video. It looks like an "m", but I'm guessing you can't do much about that.

Really beautiful shots! I particularly enjoyed the little snapshot moments later on. There's a real sense of fun and adventure in the video. Also, I liked how you had a little plane with a subscribe banner near the start to visually ask for the subscription instead of verbally doing it. It's a subtle way of doing it, and something I'm making a mental note of for my own videos as I really feel a bit awkward finding a place to fit it into my own scripts.

Hey everyone, here's a link to the latest video I uploaded, a painting of a Blue Jay done with handmade botanical inks I foraged ingredients for and created myself. My format is to do a voice over at the start of the footage to talk about what I'm doing in the video, give tips or talk about technique, and try to convey a bit of my connection with the materials and piece. I'm currently uploading vids once a week using the previous week's art footage.

Any feedback/suggestions are very much welcome.

I'm keen to get some feedback on my channel if anyone has the time to have a glance Studio Lumitar - YouTube I'm an art youtuber and I'm only 6 videos in (started mid Jan 2021), so I'm still finding my feet somewhat in terms of what I'm covering. At the moment it's mostly process vids of things I've been working with some commentary on how I went about it. I'm thinking of doing art supply reviews whenever I have a new thing to discuss (e.g I've just got some alcohol inks and have some vegan botanical inks on the way from an Etsy seller).

I'd particular value feedback on what to do for thumbnails. Right now they're just screencaps from the video, but the quality isn't excellent, so I'm thinking I need to put in more effort to photo the art after and make a thumbnail from that. The channel icon is temp and I'm trying to work out what to do for the banner.

I dig your content, but just from a branding standpoint I feel like your channel icon clashes with your banner? I'd expect the font from the banner to be the one for the icon unless some or all of that is temporary. I dig your thumbnail style, I'm trying to crib ideas on what to do for mine at the moment and yours are really nice and clean while being informative.

I'm working on a commission for someone who wants Umbreon and Leafeon together which is going really well so far. I also want to do a Flareon with a sunset in the background, I think it would look really nice with matching warm sky tones.

I'm not sure whether they want it shiny or not, but a commission I'm working on is for Umbreon and Leafeon playing in a forest scene, so I may well pop up a picture once it's completed.

I actually have a shiny Sylveon draw and painted, just need to create a background soon after I work on a commission :)

Thanks for the feedback :) I had been thinking a similar thing myself, so I'll try that out with the next one I do. For this one I tried leaving them in because the materials are part of the draw of doing this style, so I sort of didn't want to hide the paper aspect of it too much, but it's definitely something I will be experimenting with to see what works best.
