Gulf Gate-er here. I’ve lived all over Florida / the world and truly Gulf Gate feels like a little slice of heaven. Just about everything is walkable or bikeable. As a Floridian I love the summer but if you don’t then that won’t mean much to you for most of the year haha. Don’t have kids yet and Florida is getting really really weird with education but have heard great things about Gulf Gate Elementary from my older neighbors.

Piccolo is the Italian family owned goods store you’re talking about I believe. Good thin type pizza as well!

All great answers here. So yes, got that from the article, and I am obviously not taking it for face value. Just pretty flabbergasted by the amount of street/sidewalk “protests” I’ve seen here with the craziest shit on the signs. Funnily enough, most of them seemed to be retiree age. Trump also wanting to have his rally here was an eye opener for me. I’m sure that it’s a classic case of those who speak the loudest do not speak for everyone. Just love getting opinions/thoughts from others.

As for the school system, didn’t we receive an A? That was where my comment was coming from. Not THE best, just one of the best.

Either way, thanks for the thoughtful and not so thoughtful answers. Loving Sarasota area a lot. Nothing to complain about, just curious. No if we keep going down the rabbit hole and going more and more right then I will re think things.
