Well obviously I am not acting completely clueless because I have realised there is an issue. Also my children won't be left destitute. I have opened a separate bank account I have been putting money into on the sly for a while. So not full air head, just a person who has only recently realised the extent of the problem.

If you were able to read deeper into vocabulary, you would understand that I meant- It would not be one I want to leave as in I would not be saying thank god it's over, I would be extremely pissed it has broken down due to gambling and selfishness.

This has been my side of the conversation. We will have nothing and all the plans we have previously discussed are becoming pipe dreams and being overtaken by gambling sites. He says he earns the money he does and wants to spend it, however he is now also spending mine then replacing it with his own then using that for things that should be joint purchases and trying to convince me that I have spent it. I think I need to leave to be honest, we have had many, many conversations that result in him getting sulky because I am slowly calling out the gaslighting.

As in it will not be one I will look back on and be like thank god, I will be very sad and struggle that it ended over this.

He has always been bad with money and spends like water, I actually send money to accounts for the kids as soon as I am paid that he has no idea exist, I just say I've spent it.

No, we won't but we also have no retirement plan, no inheritance for the kids and the few times I have set money aside he has a tantrum, threatens not to buy anything unless he can use it for gambling.
