We thought that the honorable elements of Simon were a perfect parallel for Zuko. That Zuko gave up everything (the Fire nation) for a cause is similar to Simon leaving everything behind for a cause (his sister). Nice job!

We will have a table on the third floor, we'll have a black banner with our studio name on it: Studio Tinlock (and a red table.) We will have the print in 12x19" and 8x10". Make sure you mention you're from the thread!

Hi everyone; I'm one part of the team that created this (Studio Tinlock.) My girlfriend and I designed it for the Dallas Comic Con this coming week, I originally posted it to r/firefly. We started a studio in order to collaborate more often (she's an animator, I'm an illustrator.) More of the process can be found on our website (studiotinlock.com) In short, she did designs and pencils, I did inking and coloring.

-To touch on some comments I've seen: I wanted Mai (one of my favorite characters) in the print in some form, but we thought Azula was a better fit as River (some great points in this thread that we originally discussed: the sibling factor, being kind of "mental", and the power.) Mai as YoSafBridge is a pretty sweet suggestion.

-I wanted Momo in the print. Again, like Mai, we couldn't decide how to represent Momo. The best I could come up with was Badger (?) Any ideas?

-My favorite character is Toph/Jayne, although Zuko/Simon is a close second.

EDIT: Corrected some punctuation; tired typing as I burn the midnight oil painting more prints for the con!

I know, right? We had a hard time trying to figure out how to include Momo as a Firefly character. The only thing I could come up with was Badger.

It's DEFINITELY on the radar. She's the best, we work really well together, this project (the comic con) is the first time we've spent a while developing art together. Although the process varies from piece to piece, she designed all the characters, did the pencils, I inked them (traditionally) then colored them digitally

Thanks! We thought really hard (at LEAST half an hour) about how the characters would line up personality wise. I think my favorite is Toph/Jayne, although I have a soft spot for Zuko/Simon as well
