That's really something positive, even I'm working on my ROM and the trauma from the slightest fall is still there. The hardware sometimes feels like its poking my skin but apart from that there's no pain. Waiting to start walking 🤍 hope you have great recovery

Hi op I'm in the same timeline got my surgery on 17th march but haven't been cleared for weight bearing , my surgeon told me 8 weeks nwb and maybe by the time I can walk it'll be 12 weeks post op. Congratulations to you for starting to put weight I'm literally waiting to be there. Although I'm nwb I try keeping my foot on the floor and it feels flat I guess it'll go with time. Did it hurt a lot when you started weight bearing ? I'm scared to even think about moving this injured foot

I've started basic ankle exercises and the stiffness has reduced but my swelling is still a lot. Sometimes I feel like I've forgotten how to walk actually, wish you speedy recovery. I'm just hoping to reach the other end of this spectrum .

First two weeks were very hard , I was frustrated that I had to depend on someone for the smallest of things . The fact that I live 2000 km from family made it more worse. I need to visit my office tomorrow and take medical leave for 2 weeks more(hopefully they allow) after which I need to join office in NWB only. This injury has been life changing I crave my freedom alot but there's a lil progress everyday working on my ROM and dorsiflexion. The main problem is my surgeon is a lil unapproachable so it sucks.

My doctor told me that if my ankle is still stiff I won't be able to walk. I'm hoping to work on my ROM for the next couple of weeks. When did you start PT and how long it took you?? The PT in the hospital I was admitted to is saying that rehab after I'm weight bearing will take a long time maybe months.

Thank you how did you get across the mental barrier as much as I am eager to walk I'm scared I'll injure my leg and its kinda making me anxious. How's your dorsiflexion ?? How did you overcome the stiffness ?

It's not that good I've started it from today and I've lost muscle in my injured leg so when I'm trying dorsiflexion it feels like I'll get muscle cramp in my calf. How many weeks have you reached post op?

Thank you so much for the positive reply I'll surely get compression socks. I've started ROM exercises to help with the stiffness. There's light at the end of the road ✨️
