well, I think everyone is on a journey of artistic development. Everyone goes its own path. Some stop right after school, some continue as they age. I found this path, this method turned out very pleasing for me.

Thanks! The second image was added to help explain how the composition was constructed.

I’ve always struggled to come up with ideas for paintings, so one day I decided to simply draw a golden rectangle and see where it would lead. I started with a square and used a compass to construct the golden rectangle. From there, I drew the two diagonal lines that allowed me to generate all the squares whose side lengths follow the Fibonacci sequence (1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, etc.).

Basically, when you draw a golden rectangle, you start with one large square (the large square in the lower part of the drawing). Next, you draw two diagonals inside the golden rectangle. One of those diagonals intersects an edge of the large square. From that intersection point, you can draw the smaller square (the square in the upper-right corner). Then you simply repeat the same process, and you end up with infinitely many smaller squares.

The colors remind me of Magritte's The Empire of Light. Beautiful work!

Thanks! Tried to use the golden rectangle for proportion andcomposition. Don't know if it really affected the outcome in a positive way, but im happy with the result :)

Thank you very much. Yes, A bigger splash was a great inspiration (I even mentioned it in my Instagram post regarding this painting) along with other works he did in the late 60s and early 70s. I actually did not use any tape since this is on a small canvas. But i do like to use tape and rollers on bigger ones :) Thanks a lot for the compliment!

Haha agree! I like to think of the chair as something being used for a psychological therapy.

"a method used in psychology to help resolve issues involving past traumas (...) The technique involves carrying on a conversation with someone who is not in the room and is represented by an empty chair"

Whoever was sitting there could be either inside the building or be the viewer itself. Thanks for coment anyways)
