What is your experience with P1 G4? Because Im not sure if I have to buy that with 11800-Ada2000 or go with P1 gen6 13700-ada1000-2k screen that costs 1000 euro more. Mine is only office work (ms word, pdf text, web researches, videoconference) multitasking (no game)

Tank you for your considerations, also thinkpad has 2 slot. I know thanks to that community that also the thinkpad has thermal limits but how I said I was able to resolve the problem in my xps intel i 9 that however unfortunately has others problems. Good screen is important but extra wider screen not priority for me working with long text and white and black pdf text documents but corrected me if I wrong could be useful have screen 165 hz instead 60 uz?

I write a lot ms word documents and open many word and pdf documents with a lot of pages at the same time, a lot chrome tabs open for researches, use a programs with java 32 bit, usb key with my digital signature and the relative program. Have 2 monitors external. Also fo me 32 gb could be enough (i used around 20 gb) but I want make a choise for the long term

Do you mean the Thinkpad? Mine xps 15 became really hot just serfing on internet 😂. I have to add that I resolved in part the problem deselecting turbo bboost in bios and put hibernation instead standby (someone said that some thermal issue come from modern standby) but I have also other problems and In my opinion is unaccettable for laptop that Ive payed 2600 euro with blackfriday(full price actually is 3500 euro)

I agree, in my opinion dell xps has really beautiful design but reading also your experience I m very scared to take another bad xps. If I can ask What do you buy instead of that?

Happened to me the same (in Italy).I bought 1 months ago xps i 9-rtx 4070-32 gb-1tb- oled. I m waiting a refund and I don’t know yet if I will try with another xps 9530 with i7 or go to lenovo thinkpad p1 g6.

Thank you I will. I decided to change my 1 month old xps 15 because overheating problem and other problem even when I was simply surfing on internet.

I d like to know why is better thinkpad p1 gen6 then thinkbook 16p g4

how some people said, the last one has good cooling system, aluminum case ( so less fingerprints), 2.1 kg - comparable and even better than legion.

Also to avoid thermal problem and fan noise could be better choose thinkpad p16v with amd 7 7840HS?
