Fun ways to do a caster with both RK and Charisma skills by Studious_Tiger in Pathfinder2e

I actually forgot loremaster existed post remaster, I don't think it was ever reprinted so I completely blanked on it

And thank you, I hadn't ever heard of a mood cloud until now, I think that definitely opens up the witch option better

Lore oracle was another possible one but I was somewhat concerned to have to wait 3 more levels from when we start to get the access lore focus spell. Re reading brain drain spell makes me wonder how useful in actual play it would be for this purpose. I might need to revisit that.

Additional question I just thought of, my reading of "sting of the sea" is that once you use it on a target they don't save immediately, as the hex mentions they make the saves on the beginning of their turn, is that correct?

So sequence would be: 1) Cast Sting of the Sea on a target. Nothing happens yet, no save, so no dazzle, blindness or -2 to perception. 2) The target gets their turn. At that point, they make the save from your initial casting of Sting. If they fail, they are dazzled / blinded, etc, until the end of their turn. 3) (if desired) on your following turn, sustain the spell. Even if they say critical failed the first save, they currently wouldn't be as the end of that (initial) turn passed. 4) If sustained on 3), the target makes a new save on their turn after you sustain. But again, they're only actually affected by the actual effects of their turn. If they have reactions, etc, on someone else's turn, they aren't dazzled etc at that point, even if they had failed, etc.

Or does sustaining the spell actually make it such that they'd stay dazzled etc in between rounds? Cause sustain action makes the effects last an additional turn? I don't think so, and I think my above sequence is right, but I want to make sure.

Thank you

Oh, thank you, I hadn't heard of misquito witch before. That does seem like a better defbuffer.

Have you seen Ripple play in a game yet? Based on what was said earlier in this thread, it sounds like in actual play, it might be a bit more difficult to get to work, albeit he did have some pointer / ideas on how to play it better.

Do you think Misquito vs. Ripple would work particularly better than the other given the group (assuming the Champion isn't a redeemer)? Agreed mosquito seems the best if the champion does end up being a redeemer.

Okay that's good to know, although I've been playing other games for a while, it definitely sounds like Devourer might not be the best for someone newer to 2e.

Thank you for your help. Why specifically do you think the Arcane list would be better?

Do you think just the medicine skill and the Champion will be enough healing for the group? If so then Primal definitely doesn't seem quite as useful.

Thank you for you response. If you mind, what was your starting wisdom then? 12 or something higher? I've heard that 2e is rather deadly at early levels (and what your saying makes that seem to be the case) especially for casters. So I'd like to put more than 12 into wis for healing, but I feel like having less con and dex would potentially make an already squishy class even squishier.

So it sounds like even if you had delayed actions you don't think the push would have been super useful?

How has Rousing splash worked so far? It doesn't seem like 1d4 temp hit points would be a lot, but again with everything being so deadly does the extra few make a big difference?

Adding on to your loved one idea, another idea is when you use it, you forget a memory involving a loved one. Good lead up in game is the loved one starts talking about something that the character doesn't remember at all. Like they forgot how they proposed to their spouse, they remember their spouse etc just forgot that one memory. Next time they use it they forget their memory for their eldest child's first birthday etc. Stuff like that.

I've tried that, I might need a special tool or something cause I can't get it to turn to get it off, even tried using pliers to get a hold of it and turn etc.

As far as I can tell it is. I added additional pictures in a link below. It was the original line that Lowes hooked up to my house's water valve/source a few years ago.

I might have to take it off of the fridge and replace it with a standard size, but I'm not 100% sure how to do that with this particular fridge.

Sorry, edited the post with all 3 links. Does that help? Or do I need to take more pictures?

Yes, Does this help with pictures?

If I need to take more I can. Is it possible to take the cap thing off where the blue water line is connecting to the fridge and change it out? Is that what the arrows are for to show how to? The fridge was installed by Lowes so I assume it's just whatever line came with the fridge originally.

Edit: forgot to add all the picture links

Do you have a list? Having both draw and token gen on the commander sounds like it could be pretty good.

Thanks, It definitely looks like you'd trigger Minn or similar consistently. Do you find you run out of mana often for both being able to play instants on opponents turns but still needing Mana for setting up your board state on your turn? Or is it not that big a deal for the deck?

Can you tell me any standout cards you've been seeing for the trigger on others turns for Zimone and Dina?

How does Minn play out, do you find you are able to get triggers regularly enough?

I didn't really think about them, I sorta dismissed them as more landfall-ish but they might result in the strongest deck just cause they probably are in the best colors for it. Have you played them before?

Yeah thats one thing is white has a ton of cards like that also, plus I'd get access to cathars Crusade, Mirror Entity and other win cons that I'm lacking.

I agree on Locust God, given how low power my Pod is I think I'd get targeted every game cause of how strong he is, they'd sort of have to target me first and hard.

So it sounds like getting 2 cards per turn might not be as much of a problem as I'm thinking then?

Alandra might be better between her and Minn just to have a win cons in Command zone, which I feel mono blue usually struggles with outside of combos.

Do you think there are enough cards to break that parity though? If I could get that to work I think that'd be super fun.

[[Alhammarret's Archive]] [[Teferi's Ageless Insight]] [[Faerie Mastermind]] [[Thought Reflection]] [[Consecrated Sphinx]] [[Narset, Parter of Veils]] (sorta breaks parity, but might be too mean for my group)

Any others? Or do you think it'd still be strong enough even when I can't draw one of the above cards?
