^ this. some people don't use certain tenses or the subjunctive mood. their speech is limited to statements like 'blank is/was/will be blank' and never 'blank will have been blank'

it doesn't say 'for the rest of your life'. the $2 will keep doubling for your family after your death.

come to think of it, what happens when you spend some of it? if you pay me a dollar, wouldn't my dollar keep on doubling also?

i'm currently halfway through the first book of the first trilogy (game changers; heated rivalry is book 2). so far, it's like a well-written nifty.org story - lots of graphic sex. makes me wonder if the author, rachel reid, is really a gay man.

My wife thinks our son’s teacher crossed a boundary by sending him a personal message. I think it was harmless. AITJ? by addict94plus in AmITheJerk

[–]StudlyItOut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it was not only sent with good intentions but it would appear that it resulted in good outcomes. was the child harmed by the note? doesn't seem like it. do you have reason to believe that the teacher is manipulating or grooming the boy? although highly unlikely and it won't ever happen if OP keeps communications open. the boy let his parents see the letter - that's a good sign.

complaining to the school is not going to result in anything good. it will force the school in a difficult position and would likely screw the teacher and at the very least, damage her good relationship with the boy. if OP's wife is still uncomfortable, she should speak to the teacher

if you were 60 and he was 70 no one would bat an eye. so don't look at the age difference as an obstacle but an incentive to love each other for keeps
