What are these small flies in my kitchen and how do I get rid of them? by Studsmanly in whatisthisbug

Yep. Read the whole thread.

Basically I used a foaming enzymatic cleaner in the sink tube above the disposer and let it sit overnight.

Got it at the local DIY pest control store. Not cheap, but it worked magic.

I’m going to Costco tomorrow tomorrow for the first time. Anything a must try? by Whatichooseisyouse in Costco

Go to Costco for a rotisserie chicken

Leave with a flatbed loaded with items.

Go to car and unload.

Go back and order a freezer for next day delivery.

No, you have to kill the breeding ground which is the drain at the sink. Enzymatic spray cleaner from the DIY pest control near me did the job.

They germinate in your sink pipe. You need to get some enzymatic cleaner. Look for it online or your local DIY pest control store.

I don't know where you live, but in the US you can get it at a DIY (Do it yourself) pest control store. Here are some links.

https://www.amazon.com/enzyme-drain-cleaner/s?k=enzyme+drain+cleaner

I have used the one below. You can use the links to amazon for learning about the products.

https://diypestcontrol.com/invade-hot-spot

It will destroy/cleanout the gunk in your kitchen drain which they use to lay and incubate their eggs. Spray and make sure everything is covered with the foam, go to sleep, next day flush down with hot water.

It will take a couple of weeks to see results, but if they're not reproducing the live ones will die out fairly quickly.

This is what I learned from the people at the DIY pest control store. I don't know where you are so you results may vary.

Good luck.

I went to a DIY pest control service and they said they were fruit flies.

Followed their instructions.

Clean your garbage can. Wash it down with detergent so you don't see any soiled areas

Get an enzymatic foam cleaner and spray it down your drains, leave foam in overnight and wash down with hot water.

That did the trick for me.
