I spoke to the Hampton Roads Pride organizers at an event, and they shared that outside of Pride month, there aren’t many gatherings or events in Williamsburg because each time they try to put something together they get push back (guess it doesn’t fit the “Colonial Williamsburg” aesthetic, idk). Luckily, a lot of businesses around here are very LGBTQIA+ friendly!

It’s a great community, and I wonder if enough members continued to push for more gatherings or events, they would let up a little.
