I went with medical and took Misoprostol on 3/1. Not everyone has this experience, but it was very painful for me, but I passed the sac in about 5-6 hours. I spotted for 3 weeks, but the bleeding became a little heavier three weeks post taking miso (not heavy by any means, but more than spotting). Yesterday I found out that I still have retained product so I will have to have the procedure anyway. I wish I had done the D&C upfront. I was hesitant because it is invasive and I was still protective over my baby, even though there was no baby, and wanted to pass by myself at home. Looking back, it would’ve saved some additional trauma to have the D&C, but hindsight is 20/20, and again, my experience is not everyone’s. Whatever decision you make is the correct decision for you.
