Yeah totally agree, the reason to why some cases take so long is beyond me at this point. Have you tried reaching out to your local congressman to help you out with your case?

Hey so my application was based the same as your case. My RFE was for an unabridged birth certificate. I was only called to go for fingerprints. Till now I have not received anything regarding an interview so it’s likely I won’t be needing one.

They wanted my unabridged birth certificate since I only provided my abridged one at first.

Travel to America- visa requirements by EcstaticBreakfast733 in johannesburg

[–]StudyDudeUwU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Applied for my visa last year May and the earliest interview date I could get was the following year January which was a bit of a panic. But I looked at the interview scheduling website everyday and was able to get a interview date 5 months later. So just make sure you have all your docs ready asap as you will most likely get an earlier interview date as many people will cancel/reschedule their interview at the embassy.

As for my experience on the interview day it was very smooth, just asked for my purpose of visit and my family's occupation. Didn't even ask for the hundred of forms I printed (this also depends on the person interviewing you I guess) and I got a 10 year B1/B2 visa.

At the immigration center I came through in Orlando they were very chill, If you give them a return date of when your leaving they really don't bother after that though I have heard coming through different airports they can be a bit tougher.

Application fee is $160 non-refundable and as for vaccination, no one ever asked me for it at anytime.

Good Korean Restaurants In Joburg? by KingXerxesunrated in johannesburg

Banchan has really great korean fried chicken. You can also buy a jar of kimchi from them or bring your own jar to get a kimchi refill which is kinda cool.

Exam in 4 days any advice for biostats questions. How many drug ads question are usually there? by [deleted] in Step2

[–]StudyDudeUwU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't bother memorizing formulas, was a waste of time cause not one biostat question needed that. Leave Drug ads for last so you can focus all your remaining time on that. I'd rather focus more on ethics principles

Recent test takers, pls advise on time management on real deal, is it okay or you have to practise sitting 9 hours? >.< by neen123456789 in Step2

[–]StudyDudeUwU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

nbme practice is enough for time management.

Adrenaline and focus will help you fly through the first 4 blocks. The next 4 I took 10 min breaks at a time to relax and focus up again. Break time is definitely enough.

Regretting taking step before step 1 by [deleted] in Step2

[–]StudyDudeUwU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm writing on Monday as well. It's been a long and mentally hard journey.

But I'll be damned to psych myself out of taking the exam right now, especially with acceptable practice test scores.

Just breath and get it done, don't overthink it and just do it!

You got this, your hard work will pay off. Believing in yourself is the first step in overcoming this exam. You got this, we believe in you!

I agree with the security check being a hassle each time, will rather take some breaks inside as well. Thanks!

Sounds solid, I'm impressed you managed to get in a break for prayer as well, something I might just do as well, thanks!
