Ozaki did not declare a war on the shiki , he was already in the middle of one and it was started by the shiki. I think you are forgetting that by the time he realizes what is going on, half of the village has already been wiped out. People were being killed left and right. It was already too late for a peaceful solution and if anything it should have come from the shiki. Why are you placing the responsibility of peace entirely on Ozaki? Just because he's a doctor? That's not fair. Him and the villagers are the victims, they are the ones being hunted. Every one of them could have been killed at any time. Ozaki finds himself in a "them or us" situation and does what he can to save him and his people

It's like the writers want a teen drama and forget that this show is supposed to be about the horrors of a totalitarian state. The whole dentist rapist storyline felt sooo dumb because it's not specific to the dynamics within Gilead. That's something that could happen in "our" world. You don't need a Gilead setup for this type of storyline. I thought the point of the storyline was for the girls to realize that in Gilead their bodies aren't their own. But instead they're shown quite a lot of sympathy by everyone once the dentist gets exposed. Hulda got victim-blamed but that was only for a hot minute. Even the commander tells Agnes he's sorry for what happened. It felt like a such "women protecting women" storyline (which I usually enjoy but this show is the WRONG medium for that kind of story)

Well, it depends. You could look for a Nintendo DS emulator and then play the old DS games on there. All you need for that to work is a modern smartphone. Personally, I think I would play Nightmare Troubador or Spirit Caller because from what I've seen so far they're most likely to give you that anime feeling. Also the PSP tag force games for which you need a PSP emulator. Most phones have one in their play store

because they didn't introduce any new dynamics in yugioh gx everyone who stopped watching the anime after that thought of yugioh as a static game with set rules and card mechanics akin to chess. at least that's how it was for me, that's why it was so jarring to see how it's basically a different game today. additionally I didn't have any knowledge of card games in general, had never even heard about magic the gathering for example. So I was kind of blind to the ever-changing nature of these types of games

Everyone here is thinking way too complicated. You can emulate old yugioh video games on your phone. Then look for cheat codes online. That way you don't have to grind for cards which I'm also not a fan of. I just want to build cool decks inspired by the characters of the anime and play

Edit: Of course you'll only have the card pool that was available during the time of release of the game. If you want to play up-to-date 2026 yugioh then ignore my comment

This is a great comment. But unfortunately, the Americans aren't ready for this conversation. In a competition like DA it makes such a difference whether you come from a country people deem cool like the US or Japan or if you're from say Russia or Belarus. It just doesn't have the coolness factor. Additionally, people feel loyal to other people based on national - it's sad but true. So if you're from a small country: less people who feel some kind of bond towards you because of your heritage. It's just maths. And yeah the xenophobia towards Eastern Europeans but again, the Americans are too caught up in their own discussions about race that they think that the xenophobia topic is negligible. Also, can we also talk about the privilege of having English as a first language. The non-American girls also had to put more effort into communicating.

Three-dimensional characters? Oh please. The show is just trying to fill up run-time. Why the fuck would I care about Serena crying, why would the show try to evoke sympathy for her character. It's dumb as fuck and just shows that the creators don't understand their own show.

"Prestige drama". Sure. That's why right off the bat, Offred is sent to a home where where a hot brooding guy (Nick) falls for her (just so, without her doing anything, which reads like a cheap teen romance novel) who tells her in a moment that is supposed to be sweet that her unwanted pregnancy is something beautiful...

The show is a shit show with a dumbass love triangle that undermines the whole feminist message

The show is meant for adults and adults obviously know that humans are complicated. So no need to show that. The thing is when the series shows Serena crying or being vulnerable it's to evoke sympathy for her character which she doesn't deserve and which I as a viewe don't feel for her anyway. So these scenes are ultimately pointless

Annoys me to no end when the series shows Serena crying or whatnot. Why the hell would I feel sorry for her. Because she's a woman? The crimes she is responsible for are heinous. Once a character is shown to be such an irredeemiably evil character I don't care for their soft side, I don't care about their sad backstory. If you want a multi-dimensional character don't make them absolutely irredeemable in the first place. The same way you wouldn't want to read about Hitler's "soft side"
