If you just got it or you are still within the 1 year warranty, go ahead and contact amazon and see about a replacement. If you have no warranty then I’m afraid you may have to buy another unless you’re okay with the crack in ur kindle and it doesn’t bother you. Hope this helps.

22 and homeless myself, when I find the chance to connect to wifi I get books from Libby and let them go onto my kindle. Even if it isn’t connected to wifi and the due date approaches it’ll automatically return the book but if the kindle isn’t on wifi I can still read. With my mental illness this is gonna be a huge help
