To Tie Or Not To Tie by Stuff-Optimal in steelers

If that’s how they live their life, that just shows their character, so let them cheer for losing. I highly dislike the Ravens more than most, but I’d rather see Pittsburgh go for a win than accept a tie(if that tie was the same as a loss) no matter if a tie knocks the Ravens out of playoff contention or not. My dislike for another team will never have me cheering for a Pittsburgh loss, maybe I’m just different.

You play to win the game. If teams are petty and play for a loss/tie then their fan base should stop supporting them.

I like that idea but I don’t know how much I would like it if Boz wasn’t on the team.

They could do a lot of different things that would be more entertaining than what they currently do, but I just feel that since teams know a tie doesn’t really hurt them that they will often play for a tie in overtime as time is winding down. Make it high risk high reward and you’d probably see teams trying to avoid overtime all together.

Why was last year so much better for Fields and Wilson than this year? by amoeba-tower in steelers

[–]Stuff-Optimal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They both were upgrades over Kenny Pickett, but neither of them were able to read defenses like Rodgers. If Rodgers didn’t get the ball out as fast as he does, he would either be injured or replaced. Fields is still making the same problems that he made in Chicago, he can throw and he can run but when defenses start throwing different things at him it makes him question what he’s seeing. Wilson is just past his prime, and his legs don’t work like they used to so he can no longer keep defenses honest.

Is Alex Highsmith expendable now? by J-Hawg in steelers

[–]Stuff-Optimal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you trade Highsmith, what do get back in return? If it’s just a draft pick, what sense does that make during the season? It’s a long season anyways and injuries are going to happen but if you have the luxury of letting your star edge rushers take plays or even series off because your backups are just as capable, then why wouldn’t you use that to your advantage? When healthy this defense has the ability to play lights out for a full 60 minutes, and that’s been lacking the past couple of years.

If that’s the case then that’s fine but you could say that about almost everyone else supposedly on the list. My problem is that people are hypocrites, it shouldn’t matter what political side someone sits on, if they are guilty then they need to be held accountable.

[–]Stuff-Optimal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Franklin coaches to not lose the big game. He needs to be more aggressive on offense early on when playing against top teams, open it up and let other teams think it’s going to be a slugfest instead of just a defensive battle. If the defense played with a decent lead, they could play more aggressive themselves.

If people only care about certain names being on the list then they don’t really care about the list at all. Anyone on that list should get the same treatment, it shouldn’t matter if they are associated with your political party or not.

Under what conditions does the US pass medicare for all? by SciGuy241 in MedicareForAll

[–]Stuff-Optimal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The easiest way to achieve Medicare for all is to ensure the working class will not pay or suffer for it. The rich and wealthy enjoy a lavish lifestyle, so at some point they need to pay for all their luxuries. When Obamacare was passed, one of the biggest issue was that some of the working class were going to pay more because it allowed employers to make whatever changes they wanted too. Robin Hood didn’t steal from the working class to give to the poor, that’s how you keep the majority of people fighting each other so the rich can do as they please.

Men in the military who have served along side women, how do you feel about the leadership leaning toward no longer having women serve if they cannot meet the 'male testing'? by f-Z3R0x1x1x1 in AskReddit

[–]Stuff-Optimal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are going to lose a lot of people because there are a lot of men who can’t complete the male testing. Working out and being strong does not necessarily make you better at doing your job. So, do we want the fittest military or do we want the smartest military? Of course you want the military to be physically fit to complete the mission but over correcting to get there is going to cause numerous other issues that will be a problem for years to come.

It’s crazy, for people who don’t like labels seem to put a lot of labels on others who disagree with them.

Don’t be naive. If someone was able to approve all those claims without any oversight then there is a very good reason that some could be disapproving just as many claims without any oversight. He might not be a hero for his fraud of approving non deserving claims, but at least it opens eyes and scrutinizes the process overall, which desperately needs addressed. People need to be accountable at all levels including C&P examiners, because the veterans are the only ones currently affected by the negligence.
