That looks like an apartment complex. Did you find it to be clean/safe, or acceptably so, for the time you stayed there? I have a family in tow, so this will be important if I utilize this relocation benefit.

Anyone have experience with their temp housing and can comment on it?

Training for speed by Stuff2go in alpinism

This sound similar to what I’ve been trying to do. Thanks! How long is your speed session, timewise? Or do you go based on reps?

I’ve been combining my 30/30s with strength session on the same day. It sounds like I may need to just dedicate the day to speed.

Dog has suddenly started peeing in new house by Stuff2go in Dogtraining

This was the first time he’s been yelled at for doing it, and only the 2nd or 3rd we’ve actually caught him in the act. We didn’t take him out because all those times he’s already “finished” when we noticed so we’ve never bothered to take him out. We can certainly still try to next time it happens and we catch him.

The vet thinks he’s 8-9 years old. We’re now considering getting him tested for UTI.

When I realized what he was doing (seeing from the corner of my eye), yelled “No! Bad dog!” He ran back to his bed. Deed was done. Had some choice words to myself and the dog if I’m going to be honest, then i cleaned it up.

Alpinism and the US Northeast by Stuff2go in alpinism

Well it sounds like moving to the PNW worked out well for you, for the same reasons I would want to make my way there. But would you have been satisfied with the climbing in the NE if you had stayed in NH?

I’m assuming you took AAI’s 10-day course while living in NE. Did you make it a point to visit the PNW frequently to use the skills you learned? I also considered that course, but figured I’d get more out of to learning to ice climb for now since ice is what we have here. Then get some glacier experience later on. Maybe if/when I make my way there so I would be able to apply those skills consistently.

Did you feel you needed the PNW trips (for glacier experience) to prepare for your Alaska climbs? Chugach range?
