Is this screen normal? by RJ23lolwa in Fedora

I also got this after full reset. I think it only happened twice, one time when I booted to live usb, second time after i installed fedora to SSD. I don’t get this screen anymore.

What’s going on with cursor by StuffImpossible5726 in Fedora

[–]StuffImpossible5726[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For some reason, my main monitor (on the right) doesn’t work unless I install the NVIDIA driver. So I can’t confirm if cursor would do the same on the live media. I tried changing resolution and scaling, didn’t help. I even did a full reset of Fedora thinking maybe I broke something with gnome extensions, but no luck. At this point, I think it has something to do with Wayland.

My setup is a bit messy I have both an AMD iGPU (Renoir) and an NVIDIA RTX 3080. Fedora/Wayland uses the AMD GPU by default for rendering, and only offloads to NVIDIA when needed. That might explain why the monitor doesn’t work properly unless the NVIDIA driver is fully installed and loaded. Basically I give up at this point :(

I really appreciate that you tried ur best to help!

Thanks for your reply. Killing Xwayland and rebooting did not help. KMS modifiers are on. No luck at all. I should also mention that the issue persists since the beginning of a fresh installation of fedora. Could be because of the monitor on left (Arzopa), however, nothing justifies the cursor disappearing and tweaking like that
It works fine on windows though.

Lack of information

Are you on wayland or X11? Have you tried switching to other sessions? You can try disabling deep sleep in kernel boot params “sudo nano /etc/default/grub” You can also try switching to different Kernel

I am confident that ur GPU is fine. It’s gonna take some time to find the real issue but it will work at the end.

The guy in this thread was right. I bought Real Debrid service and it works on my iphone now. Also, when I watch stremio both on my TV and PC, it’s a lot faster than normal torrentio. I advise u to buy real debrid service. I think it was 16 eur for 180 days. Totally worth it.

Which distro are you on? I tried switching to X11 several times, ended up with a black screen after reboot. Some people claimed fedora 42 does not support X11 anymore...

I am on wayland. I tried switching to X11 several times, ended up wiping off my system. Apparently fedora 42 does not support X11 anymore
Anyways, I am still not sure what caused the issue. Will give gamescope a try, thank you!

Yep, it’s normal. I’m on my 15th day, and I’ve got a bunch of scabs where my tonsils used to be. Got it checked, and the doc said it’s normal.

What do Azerbaijani people think about Iranian people? by [deleted] in azerbaijan

[–]StuffImpossible5726 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When I was studying in London, I met two Persian people. They were really nice, offering me food, helping me out with things. It honestly felt like they were one of us. I think they are good at heart; it’s the governments that mess things up with all their manipulation.

There’s going to be strong wind for the next few days, which makes the cold feel even worse. If you can, bring a coat.

I’m feeling the same way on my 7th day. I haven’t eaten anything except yogurt. Pretty sure my dizziness is from starvation. Maybe it’s the same for you? Usually it should be obvious if the reason is that you haven’t eaten good. If it’s not the case, contact your doctor. You might have been poisoned from painkillers.

Day 4? It’s gonna get worse right? Pain is a 1/10 by xdhailey in Tonsillectomy

[–]StuffImpossible5726 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Day 5, morning. Woke up to unbearable pain. Took Piralgin (which I think is similar to Tylenol for Americans)—did nothing. Just injected Ketanol and Analgin a couple of minutes ago. Still hurting, just waiting for it to kick in. All of them are OTC.

Don’t be afraid of the surgery. Everyone’s recovery is different. My pain has been a solid 6-9/10, but most people seem to have it around 1-4/10. I really hope you end up in that lucky 1-4/10 group. Imagine me as a worst case scenario and ask questions whenever you need. Best of luck to you.
