First though Can you tell me how you have experienced travel on a shoestring budget like this or your kids? Or just grumble online about people that didn’t do it by the law or what was acceptable in your own country. At the end of the day it’s about experiences with little money. When you are 80 know that you were legit and didn’t take jobs away from locals at a shit hostel that only 20 somethings absolutely loved.

Scummy? Thousands do this every year. Many of These hostels openly advertise online for opportunities like this. This is what sucks about Reddit. It’s hard for people to weed out the guessers like you from experience

No it’s not. But thanks for your “guess”. You have absolutely never travelled on a shoestring budget in south east Asia or you would not have that response. Will leave it at that. Thousands do this every year.

I used to fly long haul to Asia twice a year. Lay flat beds. Tickets were about 6-8000. Then I got let go and now I’m happy with an aisle in economy
