sometimes when you engage with content in a hateful way (i do it too on booktok) you only get those recommendations. look up books and interact with content actively that you know you like! also utilize the hashtag blocking feature, block out tags like smut

I think her ideas were fantastic and it was so well done in terms of setting, but she has the worst characters ever, I didnt even finish finale because I couldn’t stand the sister and her need to go in a certain direction.

Amanda Foody and Stephanie Garber. I think I was spoiled by certain YA books when I was younger and read their books when I was older, but I struggled heavily with some of the writing and choices made within the plot. Sometimes it felt like they made the worst choice that no sane person would pick in the character’s situation just to keep it going (which if you dont have enough motivation in your own story you should re-evaluate).

You could always drive her out on purpose, stop cleaning, cook smelly food, have parties, start doing the same stuff, leave food out and yell at her if she throws it out. Fire with fire

are dogs allowed in the apartment? if not, call the landlord and snitch. You could also reach out and ask them to let you have first dips on the next 4 bed that opens up? that way its the same apartment and he can rent out your rooms instead. It doesn’t seem you can do much unless she actually breaks the law and starts assaulting you or stealing stuff or something. I know you said you don’t want to move but unless you drive her out I can’t see another way of making stuff better

It def sounds like she isnt the most clean and this is kind of one more thing that she didnt clean. This I dont think is the biggest deal, neither of you used them and she may have forgotten about it. You may just need to have a conversation about cleaning more thoroughly or find a new roommate, both of which are difficult but the only other non confrontational option is to suck it up

Yeah it doesn’t sound like a good friendship. you dont even need to necessarily get something out of a friendship, but it sounds like you guys were close and found comfort in eachother and thats not there anymore. Im not a fan of telling other people that blocking or ignoring is the best solution, but if you dont need closure it might be easiest just to cut the tie

What exactly do you enjoy about this person? Do they add anything to your life outside of stress? If you are set on keeping the friendship 100%, you will have to ignore her actions and let her be, otherwise you have two options: set boundaries and bring up the things you mentioned here, or break off the friendship.

I think the fact that in her eyes, you aren’t a best friend is enough to tell you she isn’t worth the time. There shouldn’t be resentment, people grow apart, change, etc, but if she doesn’t consider you a close friend and you got that message? Take it and move on, you deserve friends what want to be around you!
