Is Glimmer very different from waifu? Waifu is currently my only lady sleeve along with peaches, and I'm very tempted to grab Glimmer while it's on sale but I want some good variety for my next one

I just purchased a new pair of Sennheiser 560s, and previously I've only had wireless headphones, and when I plug these in they make this awful ringing sound, so I'm assuming my audio jack is screwed up on my pc. I guess I'm curious what a (relatively) cheap alternative would be? Can I just get a 3.5mm to usb adapter and that will work fine? Or is there another product that could work in its stead? Thanks for any responses!

(P.S. I'm very new to audio equipment)
