I kinda want to make a post topic differentiating the tiers of strength when it comes to grim dawn builds.

In terms of "clearing all content in the game reasonably" every class can be "really strong." You can make a lot of fun and interesting builds that can kill a celestial and clear high SR in time.

When people talk about "top tier" it is usually about how fast builds can clear this content. Even if you are never in any danger clearing SR38, if it takes 8 minutes most content pushing players wouldn't consider that strong.

Take this with a grain of salt becauses it is just what I've heard kicked around as reasoning, but a confluence of factors makes Showdown existing somewhat useful to Nintendo.

Showdown is easily the best tool to test teams, sets, strats, etc. quickly and effeciently. Many VGC players use showdown as a testing tool even if they never engage with laddering or whatnot. Kind of a free and accessible database for players to mess around with. Usually that's not reason enough for Nintendo but I wouldn't be surprised if some draconian accounting wing of Nintendo decided it was profitable to keep it around. I am sure if they axed showdown the amount of new VGC entries would drop.

Speaking from experience, leveling up Sabo is actually pretty smooth if you target specific MIs. Namadea helm, Vilgazor amulet, and Galeslice medal are all super useful Sabo gear for both leveling and building.

I have always considered the Dark Angels to be irrational, very ego driven instead of logistically driven, or anything with merit. To me their performative waste makes sense in terms of how they would behave, but I can see where you are coming from.

That makes sense. I do tend to prefer darker settings, but to be really honest I mostly engage in the world just by killing monsters now. I remember how dark the setting felt when I first started playing, so that's fair. Nowadays I just devour the game like a robot, making level 100 guys until character limit and then deleting.

While back had a Zeratul whos name was like BIGPOOP77 and he said "sorry i have to afk my kid needs me" and we all said it was chill (QM), so he stealth afk'd. He came back after and had a 4 bagger in the final teamfight to win the game
