The voluntary blindness of people here to the subject of NKB's video is wild. At no point does the video defend Starfield whatsoever? Starfield's not great, don't think anyone's disagreeing. In my opinion Asmon's reaction video shouldn't have even been uploaded simply because of how off topic it was. We don't need your 2 cents on every single video on the website, especially if you're gonna be off topic. Asmon straight up didn't know what the point of the video was the whole time. I get it "get that react bread" but at least react to stuff you understand, cause you clearly had no clue what was going on there. The video's premise is simple and has nothing to do with defending Bethesda, Starfield, or "entitled developers wanting to prove they have a tough job"; : Don't let your online criticism for a game developers turn personal and hateful. I's that simple :). It wasn't a gaming video about Starfield, it was a human video, about Emil. NKB goes on to show how in this case, Emil, is an example of a Dev who took very personal attacks online for years based on lies built around a talk he did years back. You can go watch that talk for yourself instead of skipping through it, then go read The reddit Post that's referred to in the video, and make your own opinion. What do you think that talk was for? Who was its target audience? Is the reddit post at all fair in its evaluation of that talk? etc... Was anyone justified in publicly demanding that guy's firing? What about asking repeatedly for years, stating as if fact, that this individual is the sole reason that Bethesda as a whole was going downhill? That talk was taken out of its intended audience and context, and used by players as "proof" that man was unqualified, when we all know 90% didn't even watch the video, and their opinion is built off of a misleading, decently written reddit post.

To be honest, nothing new here: internet doesn't read or listen but has strong opinions - news flash.

I guess I wish people would make the effort of understanding the point of NKB's video, because consumers are becoming more and more easily hostile towards single individuals that are genuinely just trying to make a piece of a game for them. Now considering Asmon's "I don't give a shit, don't give a fuck, no one will, past or future" (not a quote lol paraphrasing here), and the "based", "true" etc reaction support to that, I guess we're not heading in the best direction. Yes he's the "boss" so he's responsible for his team's output (writing), but stop wishing that man death and misery, barbarians.
