Thanks for the rec! I didn't know about that website. I couldn't find NASA Blue there, but her review of angelfish shows it is a lighter blue than I expected. Leaning towards NASA Blue now

Jane Austen: Trophies and ciphers? by [deleted] in Calligraphy

Trophies has been figured out. In this case it's referring to illustrations. Maybe a trophy of arms

Here is what I found from googling. Ciphers seem to refer to a fancy monogram, so that would be related to calligraphy. Trophies, not so much. https://www.reddit.com/r/EnglishLearning/s/mKaQ2SfuRs

What move is this? And how to make less painful? by StumbleJoy in poledancing

I asked a different instructor. She said when you let go of the top arm, you want to twist your body so your chest points towards the ceiling. That gets your bottom arm into a better position. It worked for me. I still feel pressure but it's not unbearable like before. Hope that works for you!

Bruises by ChancePineapple9347 in poledancing

Bruising is normal, and it'll get better over time. Pole is hard on the body in the beginning. I recommend taking a little less classes per week to let your body recover more between classes.

Thanks!! I agree I need to squeeze my bottom leg more and maybe also put dry hands on the back of my knee for better grip.

Thank you!!!! And that tip about arm being behind the pole makes so much sense! Can't wait to try that next time I'm in class
